Podcast Addict respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Podcast Addict collects, uses, and transfers your information, and how you can control the use of the information that Podcast Addict collects.

What we collect
Podcast Addict does not collect any personal information.
Feed urls, subscriptions, downloads, streaming information are collected anonymously in order to improve the app database, podcasts recommendation, and other services. If you manually add an RSS feed into the app that you don't want to share with the app database, make sure to select the 'PRIVATE' checkbox.
Google Drive Sign in
Analytics
Anonymous usage statistics are collected through Google Analytics/Firebase in order to improve the app. You can disable them from Settings/About (Privacy policy)
Debug
Podcast Addict uses Firebase Crashlytics in order to be notified when the app crashes. Firebase Crashlytics collects some anonymous information like the stack trace, device model, android version, ... which is used by Podcast Addict team in order to fix bugs (Terms of Services)
Podcast Addict team may ask you for some information when trying to debug an issue. This information will only be used to solve that issue. None of the information gathered during the debug process will be shared with any 3rd party. Google Drive Sign in
This is an optional feature of the app which allows you to authenticate yourself to store a copy of the app data on your own Google Drive account
The app doesn't store this data on its server. Your name and email address are not stored on the app server. The email address is only displayed in the app settings screen to remind you about the Google account used to sign in
The app only store the token Id on its server.
YouTube API
Subscribing to YouTube channels is allowed by the use of the YouTube API (Terms of Service)
Ads
Podcast Addict uses Admob, Mopub, Amazon and Inmobi to display ads. The app doesn't access any personal information like the location, contacts, SMS, ... so the ad networks don't have access to that information. They might be able to guess the location based on your IP address though
AdMob is an advertising service provided by AdMob Google Inc. Personal Data collected: Cookie and Usage Data. Place of processing: USA (Privacy policy).
Mopub is an advertising service provided by Twitter. Personal Data collected: Cookie and Usage Data. Place of processing: USA (Privacy policy).
Amazon Ads is an advertising service provided by Amazon. Personal Data collected: Cookie and Usage Data. Place of processing: USA (Privacy policy).
For now, Amazon Ads are disabled in EU because their SDK is NOT compliant with the GDPR.
Mopub is now using 2 new services called IAS and MOAT to measure ad views. Here are their Privacy policies:
European users can choose if they want to receive targeted ads or not from the app GDPR popup
Information usage
We use the information we collect to operate and improve our website, apps, and customer support.
We do not share personal information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to accomplish Podcast Addict functionality. We may share anonymous, aggregate statistics with outside parties, such as how many people listen to a particular podcast with Podcast Addict.
We may disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal requirements; to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud or abuse, violations of our policies; or to protect our rights and property.
In the future, we may sell to, buy, merge with, or partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.
Third-party links / content
Podcasts are NOT hosted by Podcast Addict. Podcast authors are in charge of hosting their podcast RSS feed and audio/video files. So every time you update a podcast, stream or download an episode the podcast author will be able to retrieve some anonymous data on their server.
The information they can retrieve is the same as when you access the episode from your web browser, so they can trace your IP address, device and OS detail, the version of Podcast addict you're using and other information they can gather from the IP address such as your location.
California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
We comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We, therefore, will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
We never collect or maintain information from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our service is structured to attract anyone under 13.
Information for European Union Customers
By using Podcast Addict and providing your information, you authorize us to collect, use, and store your information outside of the European Union.
International Transfers of Information
Information may be processed, stored, and used outside of the country in which you are located. Data privacy laws vary across jurisdictions, and different laws may be applicable to your data depending on where it is processed, stored, or used.

Podcast Reviews
Since v2020.6, the app allows the user to rate and review podcasts
Those reviews are stored on Podcast Addict servers. Users can delete their reviews at any time
