This would allow an easier update of podcasts, without leaving the widget screen3 votes
This will be available in the next release
It would be really useful to configure headset buttons, for example to skip forward by double clicking and skip back by triple clicking the headset button.34 votes
This feature is available since v2.23
Only the double-click has been implemented
Provide an option play podcasts in a “repeat” mode where the podcast just loops so that when it ends the same podcast starts over again.19 votes
This is available in the latest v2.19 version.
You can enable the repeat all/one mode from the player screen
some podcasts shows download date instead release date, for example game over or meripodcast0 votes

add the ability to hide non-audio items, like blog posts. all i want is audio, and most of what i get is blog posts.
It would be nice if the feeds were separated but many podcasters (even professional ones) seems to mix everything up in one feed.19 votes
Delivered in v2.6
create a profile that you can save previously read podcasts since its pretty cumbersome when transferring to a new phone or device, GreatAPP
Maybe you can save the sync or profile in the Google Drive is easily accessible across all devices a user owns.7 votes
This feature has been delivered in v2.0.×. It allows you to backup everything (settings, subscriptions, episode flags, episode progress, playlist, …) except downloaded media files like episodes and thumbnails. The restore feature will allow you to trigger a full re-download of the episodes that were already downloaded on your previous device unless you copied them manually.
The ability to set a custom image as the rss feed to be used for the feed itself and also individual items where image is missing.19 votes
This has already been delivered a couple of weeks ago
Add the possibility to play random episodes from the playlist22 votes
You can enable shuffle mode in Settings/Player/Controls
It renders the counter with it's white numbers on it barely readable.
Instead you could even save a whole line by combining the counter
for all available episodes of a podcast with that "unread counter".
e.g. if there are 20 episodes available and 10 of them are unread it
could display as 10(20) at the positon where it shows the counter
with that blue background right now. You would save the line above
where it now says "20 episodes". Thank you, I like PA!6 votes
Available in v2.13
***note - this is different than existing favorite episodes feature***
I want to list to my podcasts in this order:
1-MobileTechRoundup (~60 minutes, updates roughly weekly)
2-NPR News (~5 minutes, updates hourly)
3-WSJ Tech Briefing (~5min, updates twice a day)
4-bunch of other short podcasts
5-bunch of other long podcasts
Using the available sort options doesn't allow me to listen in this order (I have been using stitcher which does let you do this). I think having a favorites flag will allow me to use the sort by duration with the exception of playing my selected favorites first.35 votes
I will add a priority setting for every podcast. It will be available by long pressing the podcast and selecting ‘Custom settings’.
Once the priorities are set, you will be able to sort the podcast list (main screen) and/or the playlist by priorities.
Edit: delivered in v2.1.0
Sometimes, we can´t be staring at the screen for video podcasts- when we´re driving for instance. So having your smartphone locked saves battery and avoids unwanted actions (stop, delete, etc)24 votes
v2.3 will be available in the next hours
They is a new setting to allow video playback to go on when the screen is turned off.
It won’t be the default behaviour but you’re will be able to change it in Settings/Player/Screen Off
There is no way to tell how long the podcast is until it is download and there is no way to tell the size or status of a download.3 votes
The download progress is displayed in the download notification. Every episode information such has file size and duration are available in the episode description screen
There are a few podcasts I cut short as I don't listen to the ending portions of them.
It would be nice to have a setting where they can be automatically marked read after you've listened to 90% or more, with the percentage required being variable.
Or possibly if there's under a certain amount of time left in them. Thanks!74 votes
Duplicated entry: please vote for this feature instead
I will add a new setting to allow skipping episodes outro.
This will be a podcast custom setting.
You will have to select the number of seconds to skip at the end of the podcast. Once this threshold is reached the app will consider that the episode has been fully listened to so depending on your settings it will be marked as read, deleted, removes from the playlist and the resume position will be reset.
This will be release in v3.4
Edit: Available in the latest beta.
Feel free to test it and to give me some feedback
For long audio files support for chapter marks would be great. See here: http://auphonic.com/blog/2013/07/03/chapter-marks-and-enhanced-podcasts/328 votes
The app now supports chapters for M4A, MP3 and Vorbis files
It can also extract those informations from the RSS feeds.
Chapter support includes:
– custom artwork
– custom urls
If an app provides title metadata via intent, then a car radio or any other display connected via bluetooth could display track title or even display a cover image (if both devices support this, this is since AVRCP 1.3)32 votes
Delivered in the last version v2.7
Thanks Mattias for the information and your tests !
"Latests podcasts" should read "Latest podcasts" - as this is the page that I look at the most often, it would be best if the English was correct (I know that in French you add an "s" to adjectives that describe plural nouns, but that isn't done in English.)1 vote
Thanks. The fix will be available in the upcoming version
Google added some new native features in Android 6.0 which allows changing video playback speed.
I’ll try adding this, but it will only work on Android 6.0 and above
Edit: this feature should be available in v3.18 for Android 6.0 devices only
Edit2: This feature is available in the latest beta. Please give it a try and let me know if it works fine. The speed is limited to 2.2x because Android API seems to have some issues above
Edit3: Delivered in v3.18
If you have a track in the playlist that cannot be played (for example, it's not been downloaded and you don't have a wifi connection currently) then rather than entirely stopping playback, the track should skipped until one that can be played is found.5 votes
This feature has just been delivered in the last version (v1.25)
Preserve the original file name of the podcast. I understand that each download must have a unique file name -- if the original file name is already unique to everything on the phone storage directory, please leave the original file name intact. The podcasts I download are uniquely named, starting with the date as yyyymmdd so it's easy to watch the files in the correct order and be sure you've received every podcast.1 vote
in the next version new downloads will not be prefixed with a unique ID anymore. I will use the unique ID as a suffix, so it should solve your issue
Available in v2.6.3
The text is too small in the player view (stopped) mode.1 vote
