    I use Podcast Addict exclusively for listening to information broadcasts. Regularly use a change in the rate of listening. I would like to be able to more convenient and easier to change the speed. For example, in the speed setting to make buttons with preset values, clicking on that will change the rate and close the window. Something like this: http://www.picshare.ru/view/6601263/
    Ideally, in the settings to make flexible customization options. For example, in the embodiment of the screenshot text string: "1, 1.5, 1.8, 2.0"

  2. Android Auto support

    Make avaliable on Android Auto so we can listen to our podcast channels through Android Auto through our car stereos that have android auto built in.

  3. Add an Audio Focus option, so we can listen to music at the same time

    I'd love a little ambient music while listening to some more technical orientated podcasts. Removing audio focus would let you play music from other players or browse media heavy sites at the same time without having to restart playback. Listen Audiobook Player has this feature and it's the reason I use that app over any others for audiobook.

  4. Option for manual deletion to NOT mark episodes as read.

    Simply, sometimes I delete an episode, and I don't want it marked as read. I would like option to delete the episode but keep it as unread.

  5. folder/feed based playlist

    I would like an option to switch to folder/feed based playlists.
    i.e. to be able to navigate (using next/previous buttons) to other episodes in the same folder/feed.

    Delivered in v3.35
    Make sure to enable Settings/Playlist/Continuous playback

    Then you can press on episode play button in order to start playing the list of episodes displayed on the current screen

    I will start working on this feature for v3.9.
    You will be able to change the playlist behavior from the app settings.
    Switching from ‘Global playlist’ to ‘Automatic playlist’ will allow you to press play and the app will keep playing episodes from the current podcast without having to manage the playlist

    Edit: a new beta has just been published with this new feature. It should soon be live. Please test it and let me know if you have any issue or some feedback.

  9. Filter Keywords with OR Functionality

    Right now, keywords separated by a comma work as an AND filter. ALL keywords must be present in an item for it to pass the filter.

    I would like to request the ability to change this to OR functionality, such that an item will pass the filter if ANY of the keywords is present.

    Alternatively, I would like to suggest that multiple keyword searches be allowed. Say I follow a news podcast. It would be great if I could filter it based on my interests so that I get news based on, say, sports in new york OR healthy living…

  10. implement an alternate feature in the playlist

    I hate when episodes of the same podcast play back to back. I want a check box which will keep that from happening, following the sort order, generally.

  11. Empty/restore all episodes in trash by one click

    In trash (if nothing selected), clicking on icon "Delete"/"Restore" app should ask
    "Delete (Restore) ALL episodes in trash?" - Yes/No
    and perform that action

  12. Sort selection options separately

    Can we please make the sort selection separately stay for of "Downloaded episodes" and "Latest episodes"?

    For example, when I tap Downloaded Episodes, then from the Sort Menu, when I select Downloaded date(New->Old); I should be able to select Publication date (New->Old) from the Sort menu option under Latest episodes, in such a way that when I go back to Downloaded Episodes, they should still be sorted as Downloaded date (new->Old). Basically, make various Sort options independent and unique to those two episodes selections.

  13. Sonos support

    The setting that allows us to configured where podcasts are stored does not work as expected, and as such is incompatible with Sonos. If I designate /Podcasts (what Sonos expects) it should really put them in there, not in /Podcasts/podcast. I've logged this as an issue on the Sonos website as well. One or both of you should be able to handle this - hopefully both because it's not great customer service to punt when it's in your power to do so.

    The upcoming beta (v3.40) will remove the ‘podcast’ subfolder but only when you select the device ‘Podcasts’ library path to store downloaded files.
    Make sure to return into Settings/Download/Storage folder to do so.

  14. Please use the Request the Audio Focus API

    Hello! I love your app and use it every day!

    There is an API you may not be aware of that I would like you to consider using.

    This will make the "Music" volume default and will allow users to change the volume of a podcast BEFORE it actually starts. YouTube, Spotify and Google Music are some examples of apps that are using this and it works very well.

  15. Add a 1x1 widget to the "new episodes" folder

    In the last software update you introduced a "new episodes" folder. It would be nice to have a 1x1 widget to enable accessing this folder with one click from the phone screen. This is similar to the four 1x1 widgets you already have for quick access to other functions such as the one click access to the download folder

    Edit: Delivered in v3.7

    I will replace all the existing shortcut widgets with a single shortcut widget which came with a setup screen allowing you to select the app opening screen.
    It will include opening on the “new episodes” screen. It should be available in beta this weekend

  16. Delete items from trash when unsubscribing a podcast

    When unsubscribing a podcast unread items are deleted but not items that are in the trash. The items are removed from the trash list but the mp3 file remains on disk.

    provide a "new episodes" screen. Same screen as currently available through the Android notifications. Once an episode in the "new episodes" screen is clicked on to perform any functioin such as play it or download it or for any other function, it will be removed from the "New episodes" screen

  18. buttons to close to scroll bar

    When trying to download epps hitting the options button of each episode I find my self hitting the scroll bar on the left side making the page scroll way back in time.

  19. make the maximum speed greater than 3x

    Some podcasts have really slow talkers and I like to maximize the amount of information I get from my podcadt listening time. I've found that the brain can comprehend words much faster than any human can normally talk. If the max was bumped up to around 5 times that'd be great!

  20. Allow "Force Download" while on mobile data.

    I'm unable to download an episode of my choosing on mobile data unless I enable all episode downloads over mobile,and risk forgetting and having it chew through my data.

    Until I implement a ‘real’ download manager, the next version will allow you to long press on an episode in the ‘Download manager screen’ and select ‘Force download’. This will allow to download THIS episode while bypassing the app network settings. This flag will reset when the app gets killed or the if the device is rebooted. If you don’t enable this in for the first episode in the download queue, then it won’t do anything until the 1st episode is downloaded.

    This will be implemented in the next version (v3.3)
