  3. Chromecast improvement

    I know that Chromecast support was just added, and I'm thrilled for the innovation. In coming iterations, please look into nav buttons maybe an option to see the playlist opposite album art. Currently I use PA for audio only, but I'll consider videos for my TWiT casts.

  4. Exclude some podcasts from sync to reduce traffic => Some podcasts are refreshed only once a week/month

    It would be awesome if one could modify the time for manual refreshing for every podcast separately. There are some podcasts with >500 episodes which upload new casts only once a month. So it is useless to refresh them once or twice a day (not by automatic refresh [I don't like that] but my manual refreshing) when I want to refresh my daily casts (like news or daily documentaries). So it would be perfect, to modify the duration for refreshing like "everytime when refresh manually [standard]", "once a week [with starting date or weekday]", "once a month [with starting date]"…

    A new feature has been delivered in the latest v3.8

    It allows you do disable the update of specific podcasts. You can access this settings by long pressing on the podcast and then selecting Custom settings.
    The only way to update such podcasts will be to open the podcast screen and press on the toolbar update button.

    Please let me know if I need to keep this feature request open.

  5. Add date and time to the database backup filename

    I usually export the backup to owncloud but since there is no timestamp attached to the filename I need to add it manually, something I would like to avoid

  6. its not really a suggestion but can you fix the bug where it won't allow any podcast to play

    Its been a week or2 and none of my podcasts will play when I hit the button I installed and reimstaled it but noting worked

    Regarding your issue, please provide more information. Are you playing downloaded file or streaming. Are you storing data on the internal memory of your device or on the sd card. Did you get an android update recently, …

  7. Add support for Sonos.

    The upcoming beta (v3.40) will remove the ‘podcast’ subfolder but only when you select the device ‘Podcasts’ library path to store downloaded files.
    Make sure to return into Settings/Download/Storage folder to do so.

  8. make it so the 4x1 widget doesn't go away on every app update

    Every time the app updates, the 4x1 widget on my desktop goes away. I have no issue readding it, but it's a big pain. Other apps don't have this problem with their widgets

  9. add option in the playlist to start playing the fist episode

    i am subscribed to some one minute podcasts, which are high on my priority list. then i move to more lengthy podcasts. i would like to start my playlist with those podcasts. the problem is my playlist resumes where i left off (whch it's nice to continue the podcast) i wouldn't mind having my playlist respect my priority regarless of having a podcast unfinished. the way i fix this issue is by manually moving up to the top of the list.
    it would be nice to have the ability to do it automatically (if desired).

  10. Add feature to download a file from a URL

    Some radio stations require to manually download the podcast file. As Downcast allows, this option grabs the URL from clipboard to download a file from a URL to place it in a podcast folder selected by user.

    This feature has just been released in v3.16
    From the search results press on the podcast (or long press), the select ‘Episodes’, you will then have the list of the podcast episodes, from which you can stream/download without having to subscribe first

    BTW: I forgot to add this feature in the Discover podcasts screen, but it will be done later this week

  13. Enable Bug Reports In-App

    I think it would be useful to have bug reporting in-app, especially if you can send log files with it.

    This might also encourage more bug reporting, due to the ease of use.

  14. Provide visual feedback when a widget button is pressed.

    You cannot tell when a button in the widget has actually registered as there are no visual indicators. If the buttons appeared to depress when touched, that would greatly enhance the widget experience.

  16. Do keyword filters work in current version?

    The menu implies that we can filter podcasts by type (text/audio/video) and keyword, but when I select that option it only gives me 3 checkboxes for text/audio/video. There is no way to enter keywords.

    Should there be? Has it not been fully implemented yet?
    If not, it would be a killer feature for me.

  17. Selecting to play an episode from within the podcast menu, should only play episodes of that podcast then stop.

    If I pick to play a podcast from within a specific podcast(select one podcast from the podcast menu) then only episodes from that podcast should play, then stop at the end of the downloaded episodes.

    Next version of the app will include a new playlist mode called ‘Automatic podcast playlist’ (at least for now).
    This mode will disable the current playlist and all the ‘add to playlist’ / ‘remove from playlist’ menus and buttons.
    When selected, this mode will work like this:

    Start playing an episode. The app will automatically build a playlist with all the unread episodes of the current podcast. If you press the play button on an episode from another podcast, the app will clear the current playlist and build a new one for the new podcast.

    Would really like to have a way to shake for extending time when the sleep timer is about to stop the player.

  19. automatically enqueue new episodes from a youtube channel subscription

    You can currently subscribe to youtube feeds, but there is no option to automatically enqueue new episodes. Please can you add this feature

  20. Have the ability to turn off podcast name in grid view.

    It would be nice to have the option to turn off podcast names when in grid view.. I realise that sometimes a subscribed podcast may not have a logo so the name can be useful at times but on the whole I think it clutters up the grid view screen and in some cases provides the wrong data.. that is to say the podcast has changed its name but they still distribute it under its old title.
