As title states. When you reverse the Sort of a podcast by publish date etc it reverses every podcast.1 vote
By default, the podcast sorting mode is applied to every podcast. If you want every screen to use its own sorting mode please go into Settings/Display/Podcast and enable Custom sorting mode

having the possibility to set in widget and playlist the podcast cover instead at episode artwork.
Because the immage is small, and the episode artwork sometimes is incomprehensible.
Podcast cover is more recognizable1 vote
You can disable the custom episodes artwork in Settings/Display/Episodes
I have many podcasts that I have downloaded to my PC. They are not listed on iTunes, RSS, etc. I can download them to my phone and they end up in the Downloads file. I can use Podcast Addict to play them individually. But it would be nice to be able to use PA to organize them into a playlist. Thanks.1 vote
You can create virtual podcast in the app to handle the content of a folder as a podcast. Then you can play all those files in the playlist of your choice. Feel free to send me an email if you have a question (Settings/Feedback)
Add an option in the settings so that a podcast is automatically marked as played (and therefore deleted if one wishes to) if the time remaining is less than X (such as 30 seconds, 1 minute...).15 votes
You can use the skip oiutro feature for this. It can be set as a global setting or per podcast. Feel free to contact me if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)
I love how customizable the notification settings are... but can you add the ability to hide the icon from the notification bar, while still listing the player when I swipe down? The player is always there, so no need to show an icon all the time. I have a samsung s21 with android 11. I don't think my previous phone did this. So to be clear, when I'm looking at my home screen, I don't want to see the podcast addict icon in the top left corner... but when I swipe down, I want the player to be there. I know how to turn off both, but not how to turn off the icon. Hopefully Android supports this. Thanks!

It’s not possible to run a player without a notification (Android restriction. However you can hide the notification by going into the device Settings/Notifications screen if you want to)
The podcast tags are not treated this way. It s harder to spot a radio on its tag than it could.
Too bad I cant post an image to explain1 vote

I often subscribe to more podcasts than I have time to listen to, though the time I have varies. Also, some podcasts are more time-sensitive than others.
My suggestion is to allow giving different podcasts different priorities so that higher priority podcasts will play first and only when all higher priority podcasts have been played would podcast addict start playing lower priority podcasts. Within each priority band podcasts would still play in release order.3 votes
You can already set priority to the podcasts you subscribed to. Then you can sort the playlist by priority and if you enabled play from the top, the app will always play podcasts with the higher priority first
In player mode I miss one button (delete and remove from playlist).
I think every one of us would like to have a button for something in Player mode and that's why I suggest to add a button that it's function can be chosen by the user itself "what this button do" :)1 vote
You can long press on the player previous/next episode button to do this.
The app will remove the current episode as if it was fully listened to before skipping to the previous/next episode
I am using the option to add only downloaded episodes to the automatic playlist, and the automatic cleanup option to restrict the playlist to the last episode(s) of each podcast. This works great! However, this does not work for podcasts that I want to set up for streaming-only. The episodes keep adding, and adding... terrible for hourly news podcasts! I'd like an option to restrict the number of episodes that appear in the automatic playlist per podcast, downloaded or not. Just remove the oldest from the playlist beyond this limit when new ones come in.1 vote
You can go into the playlist custom tab, select the category of your choice and then use the filter button to customize the list content. For example, you can use the filter by publication date to only show episodes published in the last 24 hours. Feel free to contact me if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)
Install app on all your devices, but only download to one. All devices stream from that library.2 votes

A way to jump or skip sponsor adds on the podcasts, base on user suggestion using time stamps1 vote
Sorry but this will never get implemented. Podcasts are monetizing their content with ads. Without them a lot of podcasts would not exist. If you don’;t want ads and don’t want to manually skip them, then the only solution would be to not listen to ad supported podcasts
Maybe incorporate adblockradio's open source algorithm? https://www.adblockradio.com/en/1 vote
Without those ads chances are that those podcasts would not exist. You can skip those ads by pressing on the player +30s button however I will never add a tool that will try to block/remove audio ads from the content
Hey! I use the player like 3 or 4 Months now - and I love it!
But: It's possible for Android phones to customiz the return button in the app so, that the app keep on? If I use the button the app closed completely!
Best regards from Germany
Pressibg on the back button returns to the previous screen, until you reach the app opening screen. From that screen pressing on the back button will leave the app UI. If you open the app from the player notification or widget, then the opening screen is the player screen, so pressing on the back button from that screen will leave the UI
"Post a review" had replaced the episode description. This is ruining an app I've used for years. If I can't see the episode description, I'll find a better app.1 vote
Nothing has been removed. My guess is that your device Webview component crashed or received an update. Please follow the FAQs instructions and reboot the device when this happens
Hi I would love to see audio transcription similar to what airr (apple) has.
It is super helpful when note taking.1 vote
The app already supports transcripts when they are provided by the podcast authors. In that case depending on the format you can either open the transcript file or have real time subtitles displayed on the player screen. Feel free to contact me if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)
About five billion potential customers of this application do not understand English well. And it is necessary for the customer to be able to add a subtitle and this subtitle can be shared between different people, such as the musixmatch application, because the subtitle helps to better understand the podcast. And even if it is not possible to share between different people, it is still good. And if it is possible to auto-scroll on the text, it will be great. Volunteering like expanding Wikipedia pages will be successful ... and the use of podcasts by non-English speakers will continue for hundreds of years ... I really do not understand why no one cares about the subtitle despite all the potential customers

Podcast Addict already supports transcripts. HOWEVER very few podcast are providing transcripts… As soon as they do you will be able to see real time transcript on the player screen
I would love a rewind button similar to the forward button when the app is on the screen saver mode. If I ever miss something and need to rewind, it's a pain to unlock the phone and go into the app. We have a fast forward button, but no rewind in that mode.1 vote
You can go into settings/notifications/player to customize the notificatinotificatio a rewind button
Currently the options in the sorting drop down for an individual podcast are: All, Recent, Downloaded, Favorite, Playback in progress, Not downloaded, Not explicit, and Already played. For many podcast I enjoy listening to all the episodes. It would be nice to filter out the episodes I have already listened to so that I can work my way more easily through a podcast1 vote
You can do this by pressing on the toolbar ‘eye’ button. This automatically hide played content
Google Maps Driving Mode (similar to Android Auto) allows third party media apps, but Podcast Addict does not appear to work yet. This link from Android should help: https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/media-apps/assistant-driving-mode3 votes
In order for this to work, Google has to authorize the app. All of this is already implemented in the app, so as soon as Google authorizes the app this will work. However there’s nothing I can do on my side here
Once current episode is complete, play next in list (especially in downloads)
I see that there is a previous request for this that is marked "completed," but I don't see this feature in my app. I have Android version 2021.7
So I guess my suggestion would be: if continuous play is already available, please make it much easier to find.1 vote
Please check the FAQs for a description of the playlist/continuous playback mode
