  2. Restore user friendliness for adding virtual podcasts

    One of the important reasons why I selected Podcast Addict was that it handles virtual podcasts really well. However, after a long time without adding a new virtual podcast I found it an impossible task.

    I tried many different UI paths without succes and also searched here on the site for 'add virtual podcast' without finding any help. Only after searching Google I found out I should have used the Audio Books button, really the very last thing I would have thought of and very counter-intuitive!

  6. Skip Outro While Casting

    When I use Chromecast, the intros are skipped just as if I am on bluetooth in the car. However, when using Chromecast, the outros are not skipped. Could we get skipping of last 'X' seconds feature to work while casting?

    I think it should be possible to login so that if we lose our phone the next time we get the app we don't have to sit and remember which podcasts we have subscribed to and figure out which ones we've already listened to

    The app now allows you to sign in using your Google Drive account. Then all your data is automatically saved to the cloud once a day. If you lose or c change devices, you just have to sign-in again to restore all your data. However there’s no cross device syncing for now

  17. Support Jump Forward/Back on Android Auto

    Hello,

    I see that you have had a number of requests for android auto jump forward/back functionality that were closed saying that the functionality was supported, or that it was not possible to implement.

    I'm looking to move to this application from BeyondPod, which does support in android auto mode both episode skip/restart, as well as jump forward/back, and I believe that supporting both is not only quite possible, but valuable functionality.

    Currently, you have the "..." menu in android auto that brings up the secondary menu, and has limited functionality. BeyondPod places the jump forward/back buttons on this secondary…

  18. Sort podcasts alphabetically ignoring articles (a, an, the)

    Good morning,

    When I think of my podcasts I think of them without the preceding article.

    EG when I'm looking for The Comedy Button, I'm looking at the top of the list (C), not the bottom (T).

    Can the sorting algorithm be updated to ignore common English articles so that all my podcasts that start with A, The, etc, aren't misplaced?

  19. Ignore listening progress for the first couple of seconds

    This would be useful if you accidentally started the wrong podcast or you lined up the wrong episode in your playlist and ended up skipping it right away.

    After years of using your app I just recently discovered automatic playlists and continuous playback. As a result I have a lot of started episodes with the progress set to ~5 seconds in.

    This might not be an issue for a lot of users, but I really appreciate how customizable the app is. Maybe even let the user decide the starting point for the listening progress.

    Next version will only show episodes played for at least 10s in that screen.
    When you want to skip the end credits of a podcast you can set the app to skip this podcast ‘outro’ (skip the last XX seconds) or you can long press on the player next track button to mark this episode as played while skipping to the next episode

  20. Add option to mark chapters as 'to skip'

    Some podcasts include chapters the listener is not interested in hearing. Therefore, an option to mark chapters as 'to skip' in one go would spare the user to skip each chapter individually when it comes up.
