Temporarily disable adding to playlist for new subscriptions
My default setting is to add episodes to the playlist when they're downloaded.
When I subscribe to a new podcast and download the backlog, though, I don't want this to happen. My current practice is to manually disable automatic playlisting, download everything, then reenable it.
It would be nice, on subscribing, to have the option to disable automatic playlisting for that podcast for the next x hours.1 vote -
Allow a playlist sort option for "duration played" or "percentage played"
There's a "duration left" option already, but this can't distinguish between a short episode I haven't started and a long episode I'm halfway through

Allow customization of accent color on dark mode
Currently, light mode has a wide variety of accent colors. Dark mode let you choose how dark (grey, black, amoled black), but the accent color for some text and buttons is orange. I'd love to be able to change that.

Automatic Bookmarks / Listen History
I've been using PA to listen to Audiobooks as Virtual Podcasts and it would be great if an option was available to automatically create a bookmark whenever the playback is resumed from a paused state.
This would also be useful for regular podcasts.
The reason being I often get distracted or fall asleep whilst listening and this provides and easy way to go back to the last staring point.
Could also be some kind of history thing perhaps with the last x number of start positions and what time is and date it was. Very similar to how the bookmarks…

Some titles have single double quotes or commas. For those of us who use other apps to play files, saving a filename with title with these characters creates parsing errors in other programs. Thus we need an option to remove these characters. Thanks.

Mark as played and delete skipped episodes
Please can you add an option to mark as played and delete episodes if you hit the skip to next episode

Plrease share podcasts for private feeds (OK without the feed link)
I listen to several private feed podcasts and make bookmarks. I share podcasts that I bookmark for future reference (by email to myself). However, private feed podcasts do not allow sharing. I suspect this is to honor the private feed and prevent sharing those links with others.
Instead of removing the share button, please allow sharing and just remove the private link. The podcast description and notes are still useful.

easy switching between radio stations
During radio playback it would be good if you could change the station with a swipe over the icon, alternatively you could also insert a button for quick switching.

Joining Nostr
I'd like to see Podcast Addict joining Nostr protocol and a bot to automatically post listened episodes to nostr just like we do on twitter but some of us are slowly leaving the blue bird.

Show which podcasts have new episodes
Right now, it is possible to see the number of not listened episodes on every podcast icon.
Please add a counter/marker that indicates that a podcast has new episodes since its list of podcasts were last displayed: As soon as a podcast gets new episodes, the marker/count is shown on the podcast icon. When the icon is clicked, the marker/counter is reset.
Marking as episodes as played is not an option, as I often play older episodes and want to know which ones I have listened to. Therefore, a separate counter is needed.

Global setting to filter keywords for all podcasts
Just like the local podcast filter but for all podcasts. Example : I don't want to download any podcast episodes that contains in it title the keyword "redif". I'd like not to do it for each of my 250 subscriptions

Zoom to fill for video playback
I would be great if we have an option of zooming video to utilize the full screen space. That's the option YouTube and all popular players provide.

Gray out the orange unplayed counter for grayed out podcasts
Podcasts marked to not update have their thumbnails grayed out, but some podcasts already have black-and-white thumbnails, which means that it's not very clear if they're marked as don't-keep-updated or not.
Turning the orange unplayed counter gray would help distinguish this further.

In the podcast page move the position of the kebab menu of each episode to avoid that it has closed to the scrollbar and prevent scrolling when we are trying to use this menu. It can be easily done by reverse the episode card. Kebab menu, play button at the left and the image at the right

In the lost of podcasts, it would be useful to sort it by the most played podcast. That would speed up finding the most frequent sources.

Have a command to dequeue played episodes
I've recently turned off "Automatic Dequeue" for the Playlist because I occasionally fall asleep without turning on Sleep Mode and end up accidentally playing a bunch of episodes. But now I am ending up with an ever-growing number of played episodes at the "top" of the playlist over time. It would be great to have a single command I can select that dequeues all played episodes, or all episodes before the current episode (either option would work for me).

It is already possible to mark already listened-to episodes with a green checkmark. How about also being able to mark episodes that you don't want to hear with another checkmark? For example, you could label them „Skipped“ or „Omitted“ and mark them with an orange checkmark. These skipped episodes could then be hidden from the list.2 votes
