Clean up the interface. At present you can have simultaneously a Pocast series open, an episode open, and an episode of another series play. And what does the icon mean in the currenly open episode, with a pack of cards with a plus sign ?
1 voteSorry but I don’t understand this feature request.
You can listen to a podcast while browsing the app and looking at a podcast content different from the one you’re listening. -
Not really an idea, but do whatever needs to be done to reduce battery consumption when reading a Podcast.
Not really an idea, but do whatever needs to be done to reduce battery consumption when reading a Podcast
1 voteThe app doesn’t use any CPU/Battery unless you enabled the Audio effects. Play back is handled by the device built-in player, not by the app. Make sure to disable Settings/Player/Audio player/Audio effects if you want to listen to a podcast without using any battery

podcast.dr.dk/p2/rssfeed/Beethoven.xml
It's in Danish. The first ca 30 min.
Kristian (the host) tells about Beethoven's symphonies and play it afterwards (live versions with dir. Rafael Frübeck de Burgos & DR SymfoniOrkesteret). The 9th is missing the first movement though (due to lack of space/time).1 voteSorry but I don’t understand what the feature request is. Feel free to provide more detail.

Be able to add time markers/bookmarks to episodes.
I'd like to be able to add time markers to episodes, and maybe even leave little notes on them. And then if you wanted to go crazy, and a feature to be able to share them with friends. Can we add a friend's list?

Add play back/forward buttone for one minute or two.
So you can go back on a podcast a few minutes...in other words, skip backward/forward a bit.
1 voteYou can already do that by pressing on the << / >> buttons on the player screen. By default they will skip -15s / +30s but you can change those values globally or per podcast

Make it read .pls files
Some radio stations use this for their live feed.
1 voteSorry but this is a podcast app. It won’t handle live feeds/content

Add filters in podcast networks
Plenty of podcasts are available in one podcast network.
Adding a filter per radio station and per date of oldest/latest available episode could help focus on the current podcasts of the target radio station to ease reading.1 voteThis has been implemented a couple of years ago now

allow external sd cad for storage
Allow use of external SD card for storing podcasts! I'd even pay up to$4.99 for the app!
1 voteYou can already store the episodes on the SD card. You just have to select the SD card in Settings/Download/Storage folder

The app already supports casting audio. Open the player screen once you’re connected to the same network as your audio device, then press on the toolbar cast button to connect and play your episode

Please don’t create duplicated entry. You can vote for the Cross device syncing feature request.
If you’re switching devices you can use the Settings/Backup & restore feature to send a backup of the app data to the new device. That way you will retrieve the whole data and settings on the new device -

Issue long mp3 speedup
Length of my mp3 file about 10 hours. I use 1.6-2x speedup. When I continue listening after pause, time is different (rollback to previous point). When I don't use speedup - everything is OK.

Regarding this issue, it looks like the device doesn’t fully supports the file encoding. In that case the only workaround is to disable the playback speed feature so the device player can resume playback at the correct position.

Include menu item "mark read" on screen when listening to podcast
While you're playing a podcast episode. The screen with the large logo and description is visible. The top right menu has nonoption for marking the current episode as read. I find many podcasts to have unreasonably long outros and would like to be able to mark them as read without navigating backwards to the full list of episodes, where clicking the menu item for a particular episode includes the "mark read" option
3 votesFrom the player screen you can press on the episode artwork to open the episode description page, then you can mark the episode as read, then swipe left/right to browse other episodes from the playlist and mark them as read as well. You can also long press on the player previous/next episode button in order to change episode while marking the current one as read

Podcast Addict controls on the locked screen PLEASE! !
I just refreshed my s5 with the new software update and now i cannot access any of the podcast addict controls from the locked screen. ......
Is this a glitch or intentional! ?
I've been a long time user and advocate of podcast addict however if it's not resolved soon I'll be ditching it. ...
Very disappointing

Regarding the issue, Google removed the lock screen widget component from Android 5. Now Android displays apps notification on the lock screen widget. You will see the player notification which allows you to control the playback. If you don’t see it make sure to enable the app notifications in Android Settings/Notifications menu
Thanks

This is usually standard
Save the subscriptions list and status of episodes, to be used in case the app has to be reinstalled. I've had to reinstall PA a couple times and each time had to rebuild the list manually. Last time I took screen shots of the list prior to reinstalling. It was the only thing I could do short of writing them all down. I hope I'm wrong and this function already exists. If so please tell me how to do it. Thanks
1 voteYou can already do that.
Go into Settings/Backup, do a full backup, use the share button to save the file in the cloud or to send it via email, then you will be able to restore everything on the new device -
fix too-fast audio playback
I've found that several audio podcasts will not 'understandably' play faster. They sound like chipmunks!
Is it some property of the audio file, like constant or variable bit rate compression? Is it my device's CPU or audio processor?
1 votePlease don’t use this page to report an issue. It’s dedicated to new feature requests. Use the Contact support button or the dedicated bug report form instead (Settings/Feedback/Report a bug)
Regarding this issue, if you have this problem using a wired headset or the device built-in speaker, then it means that your device doesn’t fully supports the file encoding and wasn’t able to extract the correct information from the file like number of channels, bit rate, … Because of that the audio effects will be calculated with the wrong data. The only solution is to disable audio effects for this podcast
