  1. Allow for custom batch download limits

    As of now the app only allows predetermined limit batch download limits of 1, 3, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500. What would be very useful in my opinion is to be able to select your own number, up to 500. Otherwise, can we at least get options for 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9 added? It's highly difficult to automatically download podcasts at different rates without those numbers if you are trying to keep your playlist in order, and the flexibility the additional options would offer would be very useful.

  2. Add the ability to keep the app always on, possibly using one of the special notifications that things like VPNs use that show it's always

  3. Update option on lockscreen widget.

    Would adding an "update podcasts" button to the lock screen widget be possible? I think that it would be a really good feature.

  4. Add PodcastAddict to MrHandsfree/Venz/Stereoboomm services

    Dear,
    I own a MrHandsfree multiroom speaker. This speaker can play audio over WiFi via its generic app (also used by Venz and Stereoboomm). This app currently supports Spotify Connect, TuneIn, iHeartRadio and TIDAL.
    I would love to see PodcastAddict be supported by MrHandsfree/Venz/Stereoboomm.

  5. Storage area split audio video

    Split the storage area into video and audio podcasts. So one can move the audio ones to an mp3 player.

  6. Simple/advanced menu

    Hi Guillemaine,
    There are many useful functions in podcast addict which makes the menus somewhat complex.
    Maybe it is time to add a simple/advanced menu choice in order to make the application more easy to start for new users.

  8. Add automatic downloads for next episode, not necessarily the latest

    It would be great to be able to download the "next" episode in the case of listening to a series from the beginning. E.g. I listen to episode 1, when it finishes download episode 2, even if there are 100+ episodes available.

    I know it is possible to automatically download older episodes with archive mode, but as far as I'm aware that would require you to download all the episodes from 100 back?

  9. Handle podcast backlog and new episodes simultaniously.

    I keep up with the latest podcasts for each subscription, but I also want to add any older episodes I've missed one at a time (oldest first).

    May you please add a per-podcast/global download option to autodownload/autoplaylist a set limit of episodes (oldest first) WHILE ALSO downloading any new podcasts AT THE SAME TIME?

  10. Accept cryptocurrency

    Accept the following currencies by adding a "donate" menu option with receiving addresses:
    Bitcoin
    Ethereum
    Bitcoin cash
    Litecoin

    All of these can be accepted easily. There's an android app called "Coinomi" which is free and open source you can use.

  12. skip playing after X seconds

    You have the very useful features of "skip intro" and "skip outro". Could you add there a feature of "play only the first X seconds"? I am listening to a podcast that is anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes, but only the first 5 minutes are interesting to me (news). So this would be handy for not having to fiddle with the phone.

  14. have a "car mode" for audio to match the car layout for the player

    Podcast Addict is amazingly stable and usable for such a feature-filled product and I would love to use it, but I mostly want to listen to podcasts in my (noisy) car and there are enough annoyances that add up to make it unpleasant. I'd like a few audio adjustments to improve things:

    1) compress dynamic range - my biggest problem is that the noisy environment in my car means that for some podcasts I either get blasted when someone suddenly talks loudly or else I strain to hear the quiet parts (the outros can be especially bad for suddenly being…

  15. Integrate with Google play store

    It would be pretty amazing if your information in the app on your device could be synced into the Google play store. This would make it so that when you get the app on a new device but with the same Google account, all your subscriptions and maybe even settings would be linked as well. Unfortunately this would null all the hard work you have done with current back up system for some users. I don't even know if it can be done even, but it would make switching devices and hopping between two devices alot easier.

  16. Please add a new option to Downloads>Sort>Order by window : Manually

    I simply want to be able to manually control the order of episodes in the Downloaded list. This way, I can prioritize each episode in my listening playlist. As new episodes apper, I put them on their priority place right away, and have this way always the most-interesting episodes playing first. Guess it'd be easy to implement this by adding a new option 'Manually' to Downloads>Sort>Order by window. My old players had this option, but lacked otherwise.

  17. Allow configuring the Episode Download Notification Action

    Especially in the Episode(s) Downloaded Notification, It would be nice to be able to customize what actions appear on the notification, or at least be able to add the item(s) to the playlist.

  18. Add an option to specific podcast settings to skip that podcast when calculating the icon badge number on the desktop

    My scenario that I can't achieve right now is:

    • Add an audiobook with 150 files as a virtual podcast
    • Assign a specific category to this virtual podcast to make it appear in a custom playlist with a filename sorting
    • Edit custom settings of this virtual podcast as to not add it's files to the main playlist
    • Mark all files inside the podcast as played so it's huge number isn't reflected in nova launcher icon badge

    Now because the files are marked as played, I can select the custom playlist for this podcast.

  20. Being able to bot show no wifi for download notification, and it being seperate from the general download status notification

    I oersobally like the download notification with the exception of the can 't download because tgere us no wifi, which is both an aninated icon and a notifcation which is not swipable, I would like to see an option to either have option to swipable alla bew episodes, or have an exception for the no wifi message to ignore that one, but still show the status of download, while dowbloading
