Make a way to manually add postcasts.
I downloaded a bunch of podcasts via my PC and then transferred them to my phone but don't see a way to add them to the playlist.
1 voteIf you want to add external files in the app you need to create a ‘virtual podcast’ which will display the content of the selected folder as ‘episodes’
Then you will be able to add them to the playlist -

It doesn't work with several regional podcast servers, why?

Regarding the issue, can you please give more details about the problem ? What’s not working exactly ? Also let me know about the podcast RSS feeds.

Sd card support in Lollipop
A new permission introduced in Android 5.0 for sd card write support should be used.
1 voteThere’s no need for additional permissions to use the SD card.
The SD card can be used to store the downloaded episodes with every version of Android.
In case of an issue please contact me with additional information using Settings/Feedback
(This page is for New Feature request) -
warn users that internal storage to SD transfer erases files. FAQ only isn't good enough. great app though btw
https://podcastaddict.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/293421-how-to-store-episodes-on-the-sd-card. How about putting this message in the actual app?! Now I have to redownload everything on terribly slow hotel internet..

Regarding the issue, if you’re on Android 4.4+ the app transfers data between internal memory and SD card.
If you’re on an older version of Android the app displays a popup explaining that data cannot be transferred and that the downloaded file will be deleted if you proceed.
Which Android version are you using ?
Please give me more detail about the issue. Thanks

Do not delete/remove downloads that didn't finish downloading
I have downloads lined up. But when i dont have internet access, they get deleted from download lost
1 voteThe doesn’t delete/remove any download from the queue unless they have been successfully downloaded or unless the podcast server returns an error. Losing the internet access doesn’t have any impact on the download queue. The app will just pause the download and wait for a connection in order to resume the download.
Please don’t use this page to report an issue. Use the Contact support button or the dedicated bug report form in Settings/Feedback/Report a bug

Can not add to playlist after update
After app update I can not add podcasts to playlist, the option has disappeared.
Sony xperia z11 votePlease don’t use this page to report an issue as it’s dedicated to new feature requests.
Please use the Contact Support button or the dedicated bug report form to report an issue (Settings/Feedback/Report a bug).Regarding the issue, it has nothing to do with the app update. This means that the playlist has been disabled in the app settings, or that the app internal player has been disabled or that this episode doesn’t provide any file.
Feel free to send me a backup of the app data via email so I can check your settings (Settings/Backup/Full backup)Thanks

Add a randomize feature to the playlist and download queue
Add a menu item that shuffles either the playlist or the download queue. I love the "download all unread" feature, but then I get a massive dose of one podcast and I want some variety in my playlist :)
1 voteYou can already do this.
Go into Settings/Player/Controls and enable the display of the shuffle button.
This button will be displayed on the player screen and will allow to to enable random playback of the playlist content -
Please fix.
Since the last couple updates, the app starts itself and plays in my Bluetooth after ending a phone call.
1 votePlease don’t use this page to report an issue as it’s dedicated to new feature request. Either use the Contact support button or the bug report dedicated form instead (Settings/Feedback/Report a bug)
Regarding the issue, the app will only start playing on its own if it receives a remote control asking the app to start playing or if the playback was paused by the phone call.

Add a lock screen player like it had in Kitkat.
In Lollipop the lock screen player is limited to a small bar at the top, with only play/pause buttons.
In Kitkat the player filled the screen and it had back/forward buttons as well.
Maybe this is restricted by Android but I know that Poweramp has a fully functioning lock-screen player in fullscreen.
3 votesSorry but the lock screen widget was an Android component that Google removed from Lollipop.
Now Android displays the app standard notifications on the lock screen -

this app eats battery power like crazy. it needs fixing.
Really? I have to charge again?
1 votePlease don’t use this page to report an issue. It’s dedicated to feature requests.
Either use the Contact support button or the bug report form instead (Settings/Feedback/Report a bug)Regarding the issue, the app doesn’t use any CPU/battery unless you’re listening to a podcast with Audio effects enabled. You can disable them in Settings/Player/Audio Player/Audio Effects
It might also be the ‘famous’ Google Play Services bug. In that case please follow the FAQ instructions for a workaround (Settings/FAQs) -

When switching phones I loose my favorite episodes. is there a way to set it up to be able to export those to a .opml file?
3 votesYou can already backup/restore everything using Settings/Backup & restore including the Favorites

This feature request already exists. Please vote for it so it can become more popular. BTW the app can already be installed on Chrome using the Android runtime. Once the Cross device syncing is developed it should work like you want it to.

podcast crashing
On the lg g2 whenever I am listening to a podcast while doing something else such as browsing the web, the podcast turns itself off whenever I zoom in or out.
1 votePlease don’t use this page to report an issue. It’s dedicated to new feature request. Use the dedicated bug report form instead (Settings/Feedback/Report a bug) or use this page Contact support button.
Regarding this issue, if the player notification disappears it means that the app has been killed by Android. If you’re running Android 5.x this is ‘normal’. This is the main bug of Android Lollipop.
It has only be fixed in Android 5.1.1.
Rebooting the device everyday is a good workaround until you get Android 5.1.1 updateXavier

Easy options to donate. I still don't know what is flattr
I bought the donate app, but today I was in mood to make a donation (after enjoying your last update), and I could only see the flatr option.
1 voteHi,
Flattr is a micro donation service which allows you to do micro donation around the web. You allocate for example $2/month and you click on the flattr button when you read an episode article, listen to a podcast which supports flattr, use an app, … and at the end of the month your $2 are divided by the number of clicks you made in order to calculate the amount received for each click.
If you wish to donate, you can use the Paypal button on this page: http://podcastaddict.fr
Thanks a lot :)

mkv
Please support mkv. I have a video player installed that can play them but podcast addict can't find it. It might be the mime type is wrong.
1 voteThe app already displays mkv files when you add a virtual podcast. Then it’s up to Android to display the list of app which can play the file. If the mime is wrong, then Android will fail to find an app and there’s nothing I can do to fix this.

Last few seconds of podcast getting cut off
Hi, long time paid user of Podcast Addict. I love the app and use it daily. Currently running most updated version (V3.2 build 495) on a stock Motorola G 2014 (Android 4.4.4).
Can't remember when it started, but recently when listening to podcasts, the last 1~2s of audio keeps getting cut off. I have volume boost enabled and silence skipping disabled. But I find disabling audio effects doesn't help either.
Is this a known problem and is there a workaround?
1 votePlease don’t use this page to report an issue. It’s dedicated to new feature request. Use the Contact support button or the dedicated bug report instead (Settings/Feedback/Report a bug) in order to report an issue.
Regarding the issue, the playback is handled by the device built-in player. Therefore this means that the device player is truncating the end of the episodes. Sorry but there’s nothing I can do to fix it.

Sorry but I don’t understand what you mean. You can access the ‘Download episodes’ screen from ever screen of the app using the navigation sidebar. Please give more detail.
