Sort virtual folders by path and filename
Easier when filenames are numbered but tags are not
16 votesI will add a new sorting by file name, but it will only work for virtual podcasts.
It can also be used when playing a virtual podcast with Continuous playback enabledEdit: delivered in v3.17.1

Delete episodes
Have the ability to delete individual episodes off the app so you don't have 200+ just sitting there rather than just hiding them.

==========
Next version will have a new setting in ‘Automatic cleanup’ called ‘Keep synced with RSS feed’. It can be enabled globally or per podcast.
This feature will automatically delete episode articles which aren’t available in the RSS feed anymore.
Downloaded / favorite / unread episodes won’t be affectedThanks to Daniel for this suggestion
Edit: I just published a new version with this feature. It should be live in the next hour. Please let me know if you have any issue/feedback

Global Drag And Drop Priority List
Instead of setting priorities with numbers in the individual podcast settings, have a priority list in the global settings where we can drag and drop podcasts higher or lower on the list.
In order to use the current system, we have to remember the arbitrary number we've assigned to each podcast and then go into individual settings and change them all. A drag and drop list is easier and faster.
Thanks Xavier! You're awesome!

Edit: Please update to the latest BETA: v3.10 build 569 and let me know what you think of the new Priority setting screen.
You will also find this screen in Settings/Display/PodcastsI will improve the way to set the podcast priority in the next version, but because it makes sense to have multiple podcasts using the same priority I’m not sure a drag and drop list might be doable.
I’ll let you know once the beta is available to get your feedback -
Add support for Sonos.
Change directory where downloaded podcasts are stored to make it compatible with Sonos. https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2198/~/playing-podcasts-wirelessly-from-your-android-device
1 voteThe upcoming beta (v3.40) will remove the ‘podcast’ subfolder but only when you select the device ‘Podcasts’ library path to store downloaded files.
Make sure to return into Settings/Download/Storage folder to do so.Please let me know how it works for you (Settings/Feedback)

incremental rewinding
I am using an audiobook app that rewinds the book incrementally upon resumption based on how long it was paused. So if the play was paused for a brief moment it rewinds a second or two if for a few seconds than it rewindes 5 seconds it does so up to 30 seconds.

Have the ability to turn off podcast name in grid view.
It would be nice to have the option to turn off podcast names when in grid view.. I realise that sometimes a subscribed podcast may not have a logo so the name can be useful at times but on the whole I think it clutters up the grid view screen and in some cases provides the wrong data.. that is to say the podcast has changed its name but they still distribute it under its old title.

Chromecast improvement
I know that Chromecast support was just added, and I'm thrilled for the innovation. In coming iterations, please look into nav buttons maybe an option to see the playlist opposite album art. Currently I use PA for audio only, but I'll consider videos for my TWiT casts.

Do keyword filters work in current version?
The menu implies that we can filter podcasts by type (text/audio/video) and keyword, but when I select that option it only gives me 3 checkboxes for text/audio/video. There is no way to enter keywords.
Should there be? Has it not been fully implemented yet?
If not, it would be a killer feature for me.

add option in the playlist to start playing the fist episode
i am subscribed to some one minute podcasts, which are high on my priority list. then i move to more lengthy podcasts. i would like to start my playlist with those podcasts. the problem is my playlist resumes where i left off (whch it's nice to continue the podcast) i wouldn't mind having my playlist respect my priority regarless of having a podcast unfinished. the way i fix this issue is by manually moving up to the top of the list.
it would be nice to have the ability to do it automatically (if desired).5 votesThis is available in the latest v2.19 version.
You will have to enable this setting in Settings/Playlist -

This feature has just been released in v3.16
From the search results press on the podcast (or long press), the select ‘Episodes’, you will then have the list of the podcast episodes, from which you can stream/download without having to subscribe firstBTW: I forgot to add this feature in the Discover podcasts screen, but it will be done later this week

create a rule or filter to include or exclude items in a podcast for automatic download, and ignore unwanted shows.
I watch the daily shows at the tastytrade podcast. I'd like to be able to set up podcastaddict to ignore some of the shows and automatically download some of the shows, while ignoring the audio-only files, while automatically choosing to download the video podcasts.
It would need to be a wildcard string matching rule or filter because each show, each day, has the same basic name, but with some additional description in the name and title.
Some have the same apparent name but are an audio-only version of the same show.
ps. Thanks for completing some of my other requests…2 votesDelivered in v2.11

add options to the episode clock
when you have an episode playing, there are two timers working: the one on the left which shows you how long you're into the episode. And the one on the right which tells you how long the episode lasts. With this lay out you have to figure out how much time is left at any point (total time - playing time : remaing time.
It would be awesome to be able to modify the setting of the timers so that the second timer (total time) could tell you how much time is left (countdown timer) just like itunes.1 voteThis is available since v2.24

make the playlist summary show how many audio as well as video episodes are avialble
when swiping from left to right to see whether or not there are episodes available, the playlist summary shows a - if there are no audio episodes enqueued although there may be video episodes enqueued. (or vice versa) so my suggestion is to show how many audio and video episodes are available to be played in the playlist.
