  1. Version 2.4 is not working well for me

    Version 2.4 is not working for me. I have been using Podcast Addict for several weeks and I love it. I updated to 2.4 and now I have problems. The audio gets choppy when the screen turns off. If I turn the phone screen back on, the audio is fine. Also, I used to be able to listen to podcasts while playing Angry Birds. Now my podcast stops when Angry Birds starts. I can still listen to my music player while playing Angry Birds, so I do not suspect that the issue stems from AB.

  2. Spelling Mistake.

    Error msg about not being able to save files to sd card because its not found has the word know spelled "knwon."

  3. Bug report: Trashcan says download

    When I open an episode and longpress the trashcan, it says download. The download button is in the same place as the trashcan when you do not have the episode downloaded. I guess this simply is an oversight and it's not a big deal. Still I thought it might be nice for you to know about it in order to be able to fix it.

  4. Auto switch between portrait and landscape

    When the video ends, the last frame stays on the screen and remains in locked landscape mode even if you reorient the phone to portrait. This makes hitting the buttons more difficult. My suggestion is that when the video ends, it should return to either portrait or stay in landscape depending in the actual orientation of the phone.

    Also, could the video play in portrait mode? There are times I want to hold the phone in portrait orientation and watch the video and not be forced to rotate the phone into landscape.

  6. Add 'mark read to here' feature

    It would be useful to be able to mark a podcast episode as read and all the ones before it at the same time.

    This will be added in the next version.
    The settings will only be available in the screen showing episodes of a specific podcast. Long press on an episode and select ‘mark older episodes as read’. Older episodes will be flagged as read, but the current one won’t

    v2.17.4 is currently rolling out

  7. Have the ability to select a picture from your phone, to replace the default thumbnail of a podcast if desired.

  8. Status bar icon should be black and white

    The icon at the top of the screen is currently in colour. Others apps seems to have moved over to just being black and white. Podcast Addict should move or give us an option to have a black and white icon instead of colour.

  9. Selecting to play an episode from within the podcast menu, should only play episodes of that podcast then stop.

    If I pick to play a podcast from within a specific podcast(select one podcast from the podcast menu) then only episodes from that podcast should play, then stop at the end of the downloaded episodes.

    Next version of the app will include a new playlist mode called ‘Automatic podcast playlist’ (at least for now).
    This mode will disable the current playlist and all the ‘add to playlist’ / ‘remove from playlist’ menus and buttons.
    When selected, this mode will work like this:

    Start playing an episode. The app will automatically build a playlist with all the unread episodes of the current podcast. If you press the play button on an episode from another podcast, the app will clear the current playlist and build a new one for the new podcast.

  10. Extending time when the sleep timer is ending

    Would really like to have a way to shake for extending time when the sleep timer is about to stop the player.

  12. Exclude some podcasts from sync to reduce traffic => Some podcasts are refreshed only once a week/month

    It would be awesome if one could modify the time for manual refreshing for every podcast separately. There are some podcasts with >500 episodes which upload new casts only once a month. So it is useless to refresh them once or twice a day (not by automatic refresh [I don't like that] but my manual refreshing) when I want to refresh my daily casts (like news or daily documentaries). So it would be perfect, to modify the duration for refreshing like "everytime when refresh manually [standard]", "once a week [with starting date or weekday]", "once a month [with starting date]"…

    A new feature has been delivered in the latest v3.8

    It allows you do disable the update of specific podcasts. You can access this settings by long pressing on the podcast and then selecting Custom settings.
    The only way to update such podcasts will be to open the podcast screen and press on the toolbar update button.

    Please let me know if I need to keep this feature request open.

  15. Portrait mode only switch in settings

    It would be great to have a "Portrait Mode" only switch in Settings.

    A lot of times when I'm using the app, it flips between portrait and landscape, which is frustrating. I know that I force portrait mode on a system wide basis but there are other apps that I want to use in landscape mode.

  17. add a long press download option on the playlist screen

    If I have something my playlist and want to download it I have to dig through my podcasts to find it. This option would save a lot of hassle.

  18. Add a podcast discovery service, listing popular & top rated podcasts in categories/types - Science, News, Sport, Comedy etc.

    As a big fan of the app, I would really like to see a podcast discovery service. I don't just mean in the way of recommendations (though that may help some), but the classification of Podcasts into different categories and listing popular, 'Top rated' podcasts in different categories/types - Comedy, News, Science, Arts, Music, Sports, Entertainment etc.
