Episodes read are lost if application needs to be re-installed. This information should be backed up with other application user preferences. Backing up only subscriptions is inadequate for recovery.
83 votesThis feature has been delivered in v2.0.×. It allows you to backup everything (settings, subscriptions, episode flags, episode progress, playlist, …) except downloaded media files like episodes and thumbnails. The restore feature will allow you to trigger a full re-download of the episodes that were already downloaded on your previous device unless you copied them manually.

allow multiple playlists
I listen to different types of podcasts depending on what I am doing. I'd like to be able to separate them so I don't have to keep messing with the order of the list.
919 votesPodcast Addict v3.42 has just been released.
This new version finally adds support to multiple playlists. In order to use this new feature, you can go into the Playlists screen and select the new ‘Custom’ tab.
Then you can select the category of your choice and listen to it.
Those default categories are provided by the podcast owner in their RSS feeds, but you can press on the toolbar ‘Category’ button and add/delete/customize them.
That way you can create playlists like News, Commute, Workout, Audiobooks, SFW, …
Each playlist can have its own sorting mode. Please let me know what you think about this new feature
Thanks

In playlist, currently selected item has problems
In the playlist, I can't long press the currently selected item. I can long press everything else, just not the one that is highlighted. Also, on my phone, you can't read the currently highlighted item because it's black/grey text on a black background. (GB / CM 7.2)

Please add settings option for switch off 'swipe dequeue' in podcast playlist to prevent accidental dequeue (if someone does not use it). I often have this situation happens. I really like your application, that is, it is one of the most used by me. If necessary I can help with translation into Russian.

Mark as read when skipping to next episode.
It would be nice to have an episode be marked as read when clicking next button. Right now I have to fast forward multiple times to the end. There are a lot of podcasts that have material at the end that would be nice to skip over instead of fast forwarding through.
Thanks for the great app.
