  1. Please add back the "recents" widget for Android users. It was invaluable to me

    I loved and used the "recent episodes" widget for years, and with the most recent update, it canished for me on Android. Please restore it as a widget choice.

  2. Add an option to not go to the top of the playlist after playing an episode

    I played an episode that was in the middle of the playlist. I was surprised when the episode finished and, instead of continuing with the next episode in the playlist, it went to the beginning of the playlist. I would have expected to continue with the next episode.

    I just realized that this might be a bug, since the option is already there ("Play from top") and I have it turned off.

  3. Add a playlist sorting option that reflects the order in the Feeds section (especially for manual sorting)

    Coming from Doggcatcher, I've found it very nice that you sort the feeds in the Feeds screen, and then the playlist is sorted in the same way.

    You could use Priority for this but that means seeing priorities for every single podcast and trouble if you don't think ahead and leave enough room between numbers

  4. Allow automated playlist building

    Auto-add next available episode to playlist based on sort order of podcasts x, y, z ...etc at specific times
    IE
    At 5am, add 1 episode of 3 podcasts to the playlist so they're queued for my morning commute. At 4pm, add 1 episode of 4 different podcasts so they're queued for my evening commute

    I'm sorry but this is way too specific to be implemented. You can already set the app to automatically adds new or downloaded episodes to the playlist by podcast. You can also use the custom playlist tab to create playlists by category and filter them to only show the past X episodes

  5. Play a podcast in order, starting with the first episode.

    I just want it to play episode 1, then episode 2, then 3. I don't want to pull over every time an episode ends. This is ridiculous. It's supposed to be for driving, right? And there's no way to automatically play the next episode? It's illegal for me to touch my phone to play the next episode while driving.

  6. Option to rewind in the Quickplayer options, additional to the play/stop and fwd buttons.

    Quick player (Android 12?) Already shows play/stop and fast fwd buttons for Podcast Addict. A rewind button (go back 10secs) would be great!

  7. Improved Podcasts/Playlists virew switching

    Can you add a pinned tile in the Podcasts tile screen that acts like a button to go to my Playlist? I spend a lot of time flipping between Podcasts and Playlist.

    Or an alternative way to achieve that goal is a segment/tab view-switcher between Playlist and Podcasts views.

  8. Playlist: Most recent episode only

    News junkie here. I have set up several news podcasts to download 1 episode only and automatically add to the playlist, but depending on the time between when i do download updates and when i view the playlist i may have several older news podcasts to delete from the playlist. Ideally i'd have an option in the 'Playlist' configuration section to 'Keep most recent only', which would add the most recent episode to the playlist and then delete any older episodes on the playlist.     You can set the app to only keep 1 downloaded episodes for these podcasts. By oding so your playlist will only contains the latest unplayed episode for these podcasts. Feel free to contact me if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)

  9. Suggestions finding podcasts depending on region

    When searching for podcasts we can already search on spoken language such as English or any other language
    I would like to have something like trending in a particular region, for example trending in the Netherlands or in Belgium, or whatever country you're from. A bit (hate to say it 😞) a way it works in pocket casts.

  10. Please add the "Chapters / Bookmarks" option to the list when you tap and long press on a podcast in the Playlist screen

    This is so that you don't need to either: start playing the podcast so you can get to the chapters screen from the Player screen, or have to go to the Podcasts then the podcast you want then the episode. I just want to check the chapters of a podcast before it starts to play without all these extra clicks. All it would take is adding this option in the long press options on the Playlist screen.

    From the playlist screen you can press on the episode artwork to open the episode description screen. From there you can open the bookmarks/chapters screen. You can also swipe left/right from the episode description screen to open other episodes that are in the playlist

  11. Add to Playlist directly from "Episodes"

    Either from downloaded or last episodes, we have a single quick button (download or play). Can we also have an add to Playlist shortcut?

    You can long press on the episode and add it to the playlist or select multiple episodes and then add them at once to the playlist. Sorry but there won't be an add to playlist quick action, as there's no correct solution that will suit every one for this. If such an action existed, then what should be the next action after the episode was added to the playlist? Should it be to remove it from the playlist, to download it, to play it?

    Sorry but the app will remain like this for now

    J ecoute des emissions :
    - Culturel au calme
    - Musical en ballade

    Serait il possible que l app par defaut ajoute les emissions a la playlist principale.

    Et que a partir des petits points a gauche dans la playlist on puisse par une action vers la droite ou la gauche passer d une playlist a une autre de la meme manière que lorsque l on change d ecran sur nos téléphones.

    Je sais pas si c est possible ni si c est envisageable.

  13. Quick bookmark button

    Could this app have an quick bookmark feature? Just press it and bookmark is added? Now to add anonymous bookmark (without any text) takes 5 (!!!) clicks. It makes great feature of bookmarking unusable.

  14. Fusion "Download Manager" with "Downloaded episodes".

    Fusion "Download Manager" with "Downloaded episodes" on one folder "Downloads" like YouTube.
    I personally think it would be more ergonomic to have one folder.

  15. Override sort option at podcast level.

    As it is today if I change the sort order of a podcast it will change it for all the podcasts.
    The sort option from the podcast menu should work like other options at this level that override the general option but does not change it. It works only for the podcast selected.
    In my case I have all the podcast sorted by the date but for virtual podcasts (audiobook) I need to sort by the name so the chapters do not get mixed up.

  17. Search Audiobooks by Genre

    When I want to discover a new audiobook, scrolling through an endless list isn't particularly helpful. I'd like to view available audiobooks by genre/category.

    When searching in downloaded episodes, you should also be able to search for the title of the podcast, not just the episode name.

  19. Open/Read Spotify podcasts from Podcast Addict

    Hi,

    First of all great app, thanks for the great work.

    I recently discovered that it's possible to show podcasts from Spotify on your app through a RSS feed. But, it's impossible to play them. The idea would be to a a link that allows opening and playing the podcast on Spotify. Then, maybe trhough adding an app on Spotify, reading users spotify feed and see if they finished it so that you can mark it as read on PA.

  20. Option to NOT remove an episode from Recent episodes after I click on it

    In the Recent episodes list, I often click on an episode to see more details to determine if I want to add it to my list. However, once I click back to go back to the Recent episodes, that episode would be gone. It would be great to have an option to change that behavior.

    You're describing the behavior of the NEW episodes screen. The recent episodes screen doesn't work that way. It shows the list of episodes published in the past 7 days and opening the episode description has no effect on the list content
