  1. Provide a way to prevent duplicate episodes

    I subscribe to several NPR podcasts (NPR News, NPR Tech, etc.). Sometimes an episode is included in one podcast, and the exact same episode is also included in another podcast. As a result, I oftentimes have two or three copies of the same episode, all from different NPR podcasts.

    Would be great if the app could check an episode's title against the downloaded episodes list, and not download the episode if the title matches one already in the list.

    I realize that matching on the title of the episode runs the risk that there might be two different episodes that…

  2. add margins on both sides of the app (specially on the playlist view) to avoid involuntary changes of the episode

    Podcast addict is fully displayed on the smartphone framework. This is a disadvantage for a samsung s6 edge for example. On the playlist, you may switch to a different episode as t is being played just by holding the phone because the edge is active. There should be some a margin on both sides of the playlist to avoid messing up with the playlist.

  4. MORE volume boost!

    I work in a very noisy environment and have to always use volume boost with my bluetooth headset. I know it could be even louder because when an alarm goes off the podcast gets even louder until I snooze or dismiss it. I would love an adjustable volume booster up to maybe 200% instead of the 20-30% it boost now.

  5. Playback controls and notifications for the "edge" panel on the Galaxy Edge phones.

    Hey, love your app, been using it for a couple of years now. I recently got a Galaxy s7 edge and was wondering if yall had any plans on adding "edge" features of any kind? Would love to have something similar to the widget where I can swipe the edge panel and play/pause or skip what i am currently listening to. Also on the edge notification having name of current episode, time left, #of episodes in playlist left.

  6. Add an option to hide completed podcasts

    This would prevent unnecessary scrolling. For example, I'm a quarter through 99%Invisible from oldest to newest, but to click on my next episode I need to scroll for about 5 seconds to get there...

  7. Share Favorites with friends

    My friends often ask me for episode recommendations. I'd love to just send them my favorites list! It would be great to have a Share option under the Favorites menu that sends a text list of my favorites to other apps. Including links and thumbnails would be even better.

  8. Show "next to play"

    When playing an episode in Playlist show the name of episode that is next in queue to be played, so I can decide whether to skip past this if I wish.

  9. Make unread episodes flag three digits

    The orange flag that displays the number of unread episodes currently shows "+" if more than a certain number of episodes remain unread (guessing the max is probably 99). It would be great if this flag supported three-digit numbers because I've got a few long-running podcasts I follow that have more than 100 episodes I haven't yet download and having numeric feedback on how many episodes remain helps a lot when doing binge listening.

  11. Add scan option for old download directory

    It would be nice to add the option to scan for already dowloaded episodes stored, e.g., on an sdcard.
    I used to download episodes on the sdcard in a custom directory. I had to factory reset my phone and after reinstalling the podcast addict I would like to match the already downloaded episodes on the sdcard with RSS feeds.
    I re-subscribed to the podcast feed and set the download directory to my old one on sdcard, but podcast addict still shows episodes as to be downloaded.

  12. Have a podcast suggestion category based on what you already have and what other listeners use

    I listen to multiple podcasts of differing categories and some if them are beginning to reach their last episode. It would be really cool if it was possible to just start a new podcast based off the last one or whats in your playlistin general

  14. add an option for maximum start volume

    I love your podcast app, but one thing I would love to see is a setting for a "max start volume" or similar. Kind of like some cars will limit the volume of the radio when you turn it on, so if it was blasting at the time you turned it off and you forgot, it would come on at some pre-determined maximum level.

    My use case is simple. I frequently plug my phone into speakers for listening to music like spotify, and I turn my phone volume up to 100% so I can modulate the volume via the speakers.…

  16. Keep the Download Queue until there is room to download

    With the new Archive mode (which is great) I have the new problem of missed downloads. If my storage is full downloads will cancel and remove themselves from the Dowload Queue. Keep the download Queue untill there is enough storage to download the next podcast episode. This way you keep the automatic downloads working and if you don't use automatic download you can queue up episodes in a specific order and the downloading will resume when there is more storage space available.

    This can be combined with limiting the amount of storage space used for podcasts.

  18. Allow manual sorting of episodes within a podcast.

    I have one podcast (History According to Bob) whose episodes are posted without episode numbers and not in any particular order. I'd like to be able to sort them manually so I could put them in sequence according to the subject.

  19. Add a new Manual Sort option, separate from Priority Sort

    Allow the user to select a sorting option that gives them the option to rearrange the podcasts on the main screen of the app via Drag and Drop, activated by a longpress. This sorting option should be separated from the assignment of priority.
