    Long episode descriptions scroll off the screen. It would be good if it wrapped so the full text was displayed.

    Support for paged feeds in 2.21 does not work on all feeds.

    Regarding your issue, there’s no ‘paging’ in this feed, therefore the app has nothing else than the feed content to extract

    The plays audio content in the background no matter what.
    But if the device doesn’t have enough free resources to start a foreground app, then Android will start killing background apps.
    There’s nothing I can do to prevent that…

  4. Allow podcast-specific downloaded episodes to be auto-added to the TOP of the playlist instead of the bottom.

    I create a long playlist with non-time-sensitive things I want to listen to. Some of them are 'ordered' in 'reverse' order where I want to listen to oldest first (like listening to the Bible through several audio podcasts). Essentially, this is done manually and I order everything once every month or so with things I'd like to listen to (from whatever podcast!)

    And then, I'd like to auto-download the morning news each morning and have it drop in at the top. That way, I can start my playlist on my commute, listen to the news, and then continue on with…

    You can set priorities to podcasts. Then you can order the playlist by podcast priority. Finally you can select per podcast if you want to download older episodes first or not.
    Using all those settings you will be able to do exactly what you want

  5. [bug report] video playback jumps 8seconds forward when

    switching from the app or back while having the background playback enabled. It also happens while in app playing the video and clicking back to view the list of other episodes while it is playing. I am not sure if this happens in all videos, but for sure it happens with all Twit shows. Could that be fixed please? It is around 8 seconds which is a lot and I frequently miss a whole sentence because of this. It also happens almost every time when I start the episode it does not start from the beginning but 8seconds after it.

    Regarding the issue did you enabled an offset of 8 seconds in the player settings?

  6. Fix please

    Everything happens with my cellphone (like a notification, switch between apps or sound of any app ) stop the podcast I was listening.

    I will need a lot more information regarding the issue. (android version, podcast addict version, device, which apps are doing the notifications, which apps are you running during playback…)

  7. notifications can only be disabled

    Once I disabled the notifications I cannot reenable them... Looks like a bug

  8. jumping on podcasts

    In the past few month when using this app either when streaming or downloading an episode it keeps skipping every minute or so.

  9. Normalisation or compression.

    Needs to be some way of levelling the sound as in my car it can be difficult to hear some of the podcasts and yet when they laugh for example it nearly bursts my eardrums!!

  10. Last update

    Ever since the last update I've been experiencing some issues with the audio player. Sometimes it skips an episode on its own or stops playback altogether or freezes when trying to play a show. I hope there is a way to fix this. Thank you very much.

    Regarding the issue, the app will only skip to a different episode if you enabled Settings/Player/Skip upon failure.
    Regarding the stop/freeze it con be because of the following:

    - Network issue in case of streaming - Corrupted SD card if your storing your device on the SD card. Please analyze/repair it using a computer

  12. stopped playing previously known files. The player used to play outside files not just Podcast Addict files. now it won't play them

    After the update is stopped playing both my audio and video files from Great Courses. What happened? Now it won't play anything that is not PA file.

    I don’t understand what you mean by ‘it won’t play anything that is not PA file’ ?
    What’s great course ? Why isn’t it a PA file ?

  13. make the app sync between devices

    By setting up a user account attached to your gmail account, you could set up a syncing feature that would allow for old wpisodes to be deleted based on most recently used device using podcast addict app.

  14. Soundcloud support

    Being able to listen and follow podcasts hosted in soundcloud by using the user's internet connection to update the list of chapters on request or periodically.

  15. cut from starting time

    Most podcasts start with ads, the same ads that we end up listening to or watching later in podcasts again! I'll be happy if I am able to set a time, let say, x podcast start with 2 minutes ads at start so I can set it to start 2 minutes in for that podcast!

  16. fast forward with doubepress on aearphone button

    Earphones with no FFW button could use this function instead by double pressing the "play/pause/answer" button on earphones.
    This is a nice feature to fast forward used in many podcast apps.

  17. LockScreen controls

    The lockscreen controls do not work when my Samsung s5 is locked (nothing happen when pushing them)

    With Neflix app their lockscreen controls do work.

    Regarding the issue it means that you disabled the external controls. Make sure to enable them in Settings/Player

  19. to configure external controls to make "jump backward / forward" instead of "previous / next track"

    When i am in my car most of time i want to jump forward or backward into the track. I would like to be able to do it with the external controls (widget or headset). I don't really use the previous / next track controls. That would be great to make it configurable.
