Option to add YouTube video in playlist
I would like to have an option to also add YouTube video to current playlist
1 voteSorry but Google contacted me many times about my usage of the Youtube API and if I want to keep using it I need to keep sending the video to the Youtube app which means that there’s no point in using the playlist. Sorry about that

Programmable button by the user itself
In player mode I miss one button (delete and remove from playlist).
I think every one of us would like to have a button for something in Player mode and that's why I suggest to add a button that it's function can be chosen by the user itself "what this button do" :)1 voteYou can long press on the player previous/next episode button to do this.
The app will remove the current episode as if it was fully listened to before skipping to the previous/next episode -
let the color of radio tags not be shaowed behind a gray layer
The podcast tags are not treated this way. It s harder to spot a radio on its tag than it could.

Hide notification icon
I love how customizable the notification settings are... but can you add the ability to hide the icon from the notification bar, while still listing the player when I swipe down? The player is always there, so no need to show an icon all the time. I have a samsung s21 with android 11. I don't think my previous phone did this. So to be clear, when I'm looking at my home screen, I don't want to see the podcast addict icon in the top left corner... but when I swipe down, I want the player to be there. I…
1 voteIt’s not possible to run a player without a notification (Android restriction. However you can hide the notification by going into the device Settings/Notifications screen if you want to)

Dans la liste tous les podcasts, pouvoir trier par «derniers podcasts écoutés».
Parce que des fois, ça reste allumé dans mon sac et je loupe des podcasts, seulement, j'en écoute tellement que pour retrouver ceux qui viennent juste de passer à la trappe, c'est compliqué.

Bien à vous1 voteTu peux aller dans Parametres/Menu de navigation et ajouter l’entree “Historique ecoute”. Tu pourras ensuite voir la liste des episodes ecoutes depuis le menu de navigation

Manage podcasts that are loaded directly from a PC.
I have many podcasts that I have downloaded to my PC. They are not listed on iTunes, RSS, etc. I can download them to my phone and they end up in the Downloads file. I can use Podcast Addict to play them individually. But it would be nice to be able to use PA to organize them into a playlist. Thanks.
1 voteYou can create virtual podcast in the app to handle the content of a folder as a podcast. Then you can play all those files in the playlist of your choice. Feel free to send me an email if you have a question (Settings/Feedback)

Changed the Sort option "reverse" to only reverse the podcast you are in, not all podcasts.
As title states. When you reverse the Sort of a podcast by publish date etc it reverses every podcast.
1 voteBy default, the podcast sorting mode is applied to every podcast. If you want every screen to use its own sorting mode please go into Settings/Display/Podcast and enable Custom sorting mode

show the watched/completed episodes
To delete a watched episode you need to search the entire list of downloaded episodes. There is a selection, but it only takes off the already watched episodes, keeping the unwatched ones. It was interesting otherwise use
1 voteYou can use the podcast drop down filter menu to see its played content. Or if you want to see all the episodes of a podcast make sure you're not hiding played content by pressing on the toolbar 'eye' button.

Allow "refresh metadata" for virtual podcasts
When you have a podcast (in this case a virtual podcast), add option to refresh the metadata. This is not just "looking for new episodes", but "update title", etc. When I click "refresh", it simply looks for new episodes, but does not display any changed/corrected "titles".
NOTE: Would like to KEEP the watched status.

Keep episode image when podcast has been watched
Maybe I missed a flag, but...
Whenever a podcast episode is finished/watched, the podcast image gets replaced by the generic podcast image, with the "check". Would like to keep the individual episode's image, but with the "check".

Have a short "rewind/ back" option
Have a 10 sec back button to replay just a short segment. The fast back button or slider is too haphazard.

Add a rerun tag, similar to the trailer tag
Would love to filter out reruns of older episodes.
1 voteSorry but this is not possible for now. There’s a standard in the RSS feeds that allows podcasters to set a flag for trailers. There’s, unfortunately, nothing for rerun. So, first a standard needs to be created then it needs to be adopted.
But most podcasters won’t want to adopt this because they want listeners to listen to the reruns, not to skip them ;) -
SD Card. Automatic cleanup and episode deletion
Add the ability to manually delete episodes and automatic cleanup when storing files, particularly virtual podcasts, on a memory card outside of the app's folder. Apparently, this requires asking for permission to write to the memory card, like third-party file managers or other apps that allow you to create/delete files do, using Android Storage Access Framework.

Bookmark "Direct Play"
Add the possibility to play a episode when a bookmark is selected (actually it does nothing, podcast must be "played" to active bookmark selection.

Notes for podcasts
Would be a nice feature to be able to keep a note as to how the story left off if time between episodes is too long and you don't need to re listen to episodes again.

create folder for episodes marked as played to unclutter Recent Episodes folder
If I have a couple of dozens of new episodes I may not necessarily want to play all of thenm. As I mark them "played", they still remain in Recent Episodes creating clutter over time. If you move the "Marked as Played" episodes to a dedicated folder, e.g., " Episodes Marked as Played" that'll make Recent Episodes folder more neat focused and friendly.

Option to prevent download of repeat episodes if you've selected auto download of episodes
I do not believe there is an option to prevent the download of "re-runs" or repeat episodes when you have auto download selected for a podcast. Many podcasts repeat episodes to meet their schedule. I recognize that the repeated episodes may not match up perfectly with the original but an imperfect filter would be better than none.
1 voteYou can filter episodes based on some keywords in their title. By doing so they won’t be displayed in the app, however without this the app cannot know if an episode has already been published or not

Option to hide repeat episodes from view
Adding a filter to hide from view "re-runs" or repeat episodes similar to how you can hide fully listened to podcasts from the home screen. Many podcasts repeat episodes to meet their schedule but if you're a regular listener, or just want an easier way to see the universe of episode without the clutter, it's helpful to weed out the repeats.

1 voteBy default the app deletes episode custom artwork when the episode is marked as played. You can disable this behavior in Settings/Automatic cleanup

Podcast searches should match partial words, for example "freak" should find "freakonomics"
When searching for a podcast to subscribe to, "freak" should find "freakonomics". The first use case is so save time, the second use case is that a title like this (with a made up word) might be hard for some people to spell.
1 voteFreakonomics will match here BUT, it will have a lower scrore than the other podcasts using the word freak, therefore it might be push up so low in the list that it won't be visible. You can switch to the Apple podcast search engine in the app if you prefer a different behavior
