Hide username and password for authenticated feeds
I know that Podcast addict supports authenticated feeds via https://username:password@RSSURL, but this exposes the credentials to anyone who looks at the podcast feed address. I'd like to be able to show someone my favorite podcast without exposing my login information or risking accidentally sending my credentials when I share the URL. Thus I'm asking for you to provide a better means for storing the credentials than as part of the URL.

Pouvoir lire un podcast entier hors playlist
Ce serait bien de pouvoir lire tous les épisodes d'un podcast hors playlist (en lançant la lecture dans le podcast).
Sachant que la fonction tri exite déjà maintenant dans l'affichage d'un poscast, il "suffirait" de faire en sorte qu'une lecture dans un podcast enchaine la lecture des autres épisodes du podcast dans l'ordre de tri sélectionné.
Pour l'instant je contourne le problème en triant la playlist par nom de podcast, mais c'est du bricolage !1 voteCette fonction a été ajoutée en v3.9
Il faut aller dans Paramètres/Playlist/Mode et sélectionner ‘Lecture continue’ -
An option to use ethernet as opposed to having to switching to wifi when connected a Android stick/box with wired connections.
Currently I use an Android device on my entertainment center. It is wired to my router. Podcast Addict only allows wifi connections so I have to turn on wifi when listening. Give uses to option to connect through a hardwire ethernet connection.

buttons to close to scroll bar
When trying to download epps hitting the options button of each episode I find my self hitting the scroll bar on the left side making the page scroll way back in time.

Sort selection options separately
Can we please make the sort selection separately stay for of "Downloaded episodes" and "Latest episodes"?
For example, when I tap Downloaded Episodes, then from the Sort Menu, when I select Downloaded date(New->Old); I should be able to select Publication date (New->Old) from the Sort menu option under Latest episodes, in such a way that when I go back to Downloaded Episodes, they should still be sorted as Downloaded date (new->Old). Basically, make various Sort options independent and unique to those two episodes selections.

Delete items from trash when unsubscribing a podcast
When unsubscribing a podcast unread items are deleted but not items that are in the trash. The items are removed from the trash list but the mp3 file remains on disk.

Add a 1x1 widget to the "new episodes" folder
In the last software update you introduced a "new episodes" folder. It would be nice to have a 1x1 widget to enable accessing this folder with one click from the phone screen. This is similar to the four 1x1 widgets you already have for quick access to other functions such as the one click access to the download folder

I will replace all the existing shortcut widgets with a single shortcut widget which came with a setup screen allowing you to select the app opening screen.
It will include opening on the “new episodes” screen. It should be available in beta this weekend -
Please use the Request the Audio Focus API
Hello! I love your app and use it every day!
There is an API you may not be aware of that I would like you to consider using.

This will make the "Music" volume default and will allow users to change the volume of a podcast BEFORE it actually starts. YouTube, Spotify and Google Music are some examples of apps that are using this and it works very well.

Please consider adding a "Merge Categories" feature.
For example, there are two existing categories named "News & Politics" and "News and Politics." Because each has many items, and re-categorizing them individually would be tedious, a way to merge them would be helpful.
One option might be to simply rename one to the other, whereby the user would get a dialog saying something like, "Category Exists. Do you want to merge them?" Or the user could multi-select, via checkbox or long press, then select "Merge" from a menu.

implement an alternate feature in the playlist
I hate when episodes of the same podcast play back to back. I want a check box which will keep that from happening, following the sort order, generally.

I can't add my downloads to the Playlist. Some months/weeks ago, this option was available.
1 voteAs explained in the changelog a few weeks ago, the app now uses a new playback mode by default called ‘Continuous playback’. If you want to manage the playlist manually you need to select ‘Global playlist’ in the app Settings/Playlist/Playlist mode.

sleep timer button on live streams
waiting early 3.18 apk with this feature pls. not on player screen. or when touched radio icon, need jump to player as podcasts then we will see timer there. maybe live radio icons should be bar as podcasts. so we can pause/play from right part and jump player with touching left part of icon as usual.

make it easier to view podcast information in the episodes search function
Sometimes I get interested in a podcast after learning about it through the episode search. But it's not clear how to navigate in the app to find more information about it (view its description of see the list of episodes), other than to exit OUT of the episode search tool, and switch to the podcast search tool. Similarly, if I downloaded a podcast episode for a podcast I'm not subscribed to, it's not intuitive if I can see the podcast description from the single episode, or if I have to manually search for the podcast
