Potential bluetooth related "continuation" problem
I don't know if this problem is unique to me, but in my research of recreating the problem, it seems to have started happening since the last Podcast Addict update.
I use the built-in bluetooth capability of my car radio to listen to the podcasts I download with the app. It behaved quite well for the many months I used the app.
In the past, I have always just shut off the car, which shuts off the radio, which causes podcast addict to automatically "pause" as expected. But recently, the same sequence of events work as before, but after a…

radio recording
add the option to record radio streams and save the files in different folders (one for each radio) which will be used as virtual podcasts. Also include scheduled recording with automatic start and stop. Another feature should be cutting the silence in the files due to streaming problems. if streaming stops app should try to reconnect and not stop the recording
14 votesSorry but this will never be implemented, as this would require a signed contract with every single radio to allow the app to record their content

Read and setup subtitles
Allow to read subtitles and to download them from open subtitles other apps already do this
13 votesThe app supports the podcast transcript screen. So it will show the subtitles for every podcast providing them. However very few podcasts are providing transcript for now

Add the ability to add episodes to a subscribed podcast by dragging them into the podcast's storage folder.
I have some episodes for podcasts that are no longer available through the podcast's rss feed. I want to be able to add them manually to the storage folder and have them appear with the subscribed podcast episodes.
13 votesThe only way to display /listen to content not downloaded from the app is to create a virtual podcast. Those files won’t be linked to your existing subscriptions

Mark as read when skipping to the next episode part deux
It's similar to an idea already posted https://podcastaddict.uservoice.com/forums/211997-general/suggestions/4175412-mark-as-read-when-skipping-to-next-episode-, but I usually use the bluetooth controls in my car, or headset controls, and don't have access to the phone to do the actual long-press to perform this behavior.
Or, perhaps it could be an option between leaving it as a long press, or simply any time you fast-forward.
13 votesYou can now use the app Player/Skip outro settings for this.
You can set the app to automatically skip the remaining of the episode once you reached XX% of playback and press the skip forward button. This can be customized by podcast if you want to. Feel free to contact me if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)

The app doesn’t use any CPU/Battery unless you’re listening to an audio podcast with Audio effects enabled.
Having the app in the background or just the app service running won’t use any CPU/battery -
Add Go To Hh:mm:ss
On smartphone with small screen under 3" with the scrollbar it's difficult to move with precision inside a podcast, add a fonction with goto precise time like hh:mm:ss was very fun i think :)
12 votesYou can do this by using the player screen option menu called ‘Play from position’
Feel free to contact me if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)

Extend "cleanup limit" and "download limit" functionality to allow user-defined limits
I would very much like to have the cleanup and download limits user-defined so that we can have very granular per-podcast controls.
12 votesNext version of the app will add more choices like value 2 and 4, but you will still not be able to add custom values.
If you really need custom values please vote for this request instead: https://podcastaddict.uservoice.com/admin/v3/ideas/35369554/ -

Android Auto most recent episodes
The app has a nice feature to show the latest episodes from the last 7days, but this is not accessible from the android auto screen. It would be very good to add it to the AA interface.

Mark read if less than 5 (optional) minutes left
A feature that automatically will show the podcast episode as read if it less that 5-10 mimutes remaining.
12 votesYou can already do this by settings up a skip outro setting in the podcast custom settings. If you set it to 5 minutes, the app will automatically skip to the next episode and mark the current one as read. You can also long press on the previous/next episode button at any time to trigger the same behavior manually

add feature to change how we want the time counter to behave
When playing an episode, there are two time counters: the one on the left which tells you how much the episodes has advanced (from 0:00) and the one on the right which tells how long each episode lasts.
However, you can´t tell how much is left because the second clock doesn´t change. It would be great if the second clock could move backwards as the episode progresses (down to 0:00)
I don´t want to be substracting times to figure out how much is left.12 votesYou can already do this by pressing on the duration counter in the player screen. It will then toggle to display the remaining time

Have a setting that controls which screen you start on
I would like an option to choose which is the starting screen within the app. I saw that widgets can choose which screen they start on, but I almost always open the app from the lock screen. My main interface with the app is either on the player or the playlist.
12 votesYou can use the widget called Opening screen to open the app on the screen of your choice

Add ability to add iTunes U
It would be cool (if possible) to add the ability to download iTunes U audio such as how TunesViewer App already does. (but this app is way better and cooler).
PS Thank you for your hard work! :)
12 votesYou can already subscribe to iTunes U podcasts by pasting their RSS feed url into the app.
Please send me the podcast url by email if you cannot find its RSS feed so I can try to find it for you (Settings/Feedback)

search in podcasts list
Hi, to all at PA! Your app is just great. There is really very little I could wish for in an podcatcher and player. Exept one thing: as my list of podcasts is growing it would be great to have a search box beside the keyword-filter-tab to type a few letters of the podcast name to find it quicker.
12 votesThe app main screen already has search button that allows you to filter the list of podcasts to quickly find the podcast of your choice. Feel free to contact me if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)

GoTo Option, Loop in Time, File Name Change
GoTo Option: When player is on, I find it necessary to put an option to go to a specific point in time, by now we have the option to go backward or forward with a personalizable step or just moving the point upon the time line. I am talking about putting a "go to..." option.
Loop in Time: Also it would be useful a "Loop option", not the one present already for looping files, but another more specific that allow a continuous play and repeat of a segment of time in a file.
Filename Change: Third suggestion is allow name…
12 votesPlease create multiple feature requests.
FYI you can already use the "Play From position" feature available in the player screen to play from a specific time stamp. Upcoming version of the app allows you to repeat chapters / bookmarks. So you can loop a specific part of an episode

Transcripted podcast
About five billion potential customers of this application do not understand English well. And it is necessary for the customer to be able to add a subtitle and this subtitle can be shared between different people, such as the musixmatch application, because the subtitle helps to better understand the podcast. And even if it is not possible to share between different people, it is still good. And if it is possible to auto-scroll on the text, it will be great. Volunteering like expanding Wikipedia pages will be successful ... and the use of podcasts by non-English speakers will continue for…
12 votesPodcast Addict already supports transcripts. HOWEVER very few podcast are providing transcripts… As soon as they do you will be able to see real time transcript on the player screen

delay automatic deletion of a podcast
I'd like to have podcasts automatically deleted BUT only after x minutes/hours/days I last listened to them.
12 votesThis feature is already implemented. You can go into Settings/Automatic cleanup/Trash to enable the app ‘Trash’. You can select the number of hours/days the trash will hold episodes deleted automatically be the app. After that delay episodes will be removed from the device memory. Until that, you can open the Trash screen in the navigation sidebar in order to restore deleted episodes

Allow 'mark as played' action to remove podcasts from "playback in progress" list
I often fast forward to next episode on playlist in order to skip the adverts at the end of podcasts.
This means I end up with very many podcasts I don't want to listen clogging up the "playback in progress" list.I'd like to have 'mark as played' remove partially played podcasts from the "playback in progress" list.
12 votesYou can press on the toolbar ‘eye’ button to hide played episodes
This should solve this issue
