Make a progress bar
Is it possible to have a progress bar on the lock screen for the S8+?

Automated Chronological playlist
Hi it would be great to have a playlist with episodes sorted in chronological order from oldest to newest automatically after each refresh.
I would like the playlist to reflect the actual list of episodes available each time the podcast is refreshed.
For example, on Tuesday I am listening to the 10pm episode from Monday but on Wednesday the 10pm & 11pm episodes from Tuesday are downloaded, I would like the playlist to be automatically updated so that the Wednesday episodes are played after I finish the current one (in the chronological order i.e 10pm then 11pm).

Then you can press on play and the app will play episodes following that order.

Automatically retry failed downloads
When a podcast download fails for an 'external' reason (e.g. server issue, limited disk space) the app will stop automatic download attempts, marking the download as failed to be launched manually when the issues are resolved later. Given the nature of automatic updates, downloads and playlist population I generally do not notice failed downloads for several weeks after the event.
I suggest adding a check for failed downloads when another download starts successfully. A single download attempt could be launched if any failed downloads are identified.
With this check in place, there will be the possibility of automatically downloading episodes…
1 voteThe app already retries failed download a few times in case the eror code returned is non fatal.
In case of a fatal error, downlaods will not be retried automatically. You have to open the download manager ‘error’ tab and retry them manually in that case.
As those ‘external issues’ might be fixed weeks or months later I’m not sure retrying the download automatically is such a good idea,

radio text
Missing the radio text and recording, while streaming Livestreams. Our local radio supports radio text, but the app doesn't displays it, only my stationary internet radioset.
1 voteThe app shows the current track name provided by live stream.
If you don’t see it it means that this information is missing or they are not using the same standard as other radio. Feel free to provide more detail like the live stream url so I can do some tests.

I want youtube to work as a podcast playlist
When i hit play on a youtube vídeo it opens youtube but the playlist stop,
1 voteI’m sorry but YT content is played by the YT app. Therefore pressing on a YT episode play button will always stop Podcast Addict playback if you were already listening to a podcast

I'm not only a podcast addict, I'm a current news addict. I want a straight shot to the newest episode of commentary among all of my subscriptions. It would be fastest in widget form, one swipe from the home panel

allow overide of auto update time
Allow us to set auto update time for individual podcasts. Data is being wasted when i want to update all but 1 or 2 podcasts which release many episodes per day but for those podcasts i only listen to the first one.
1 voteSorry but this feature would allow the app to create multiple ‘alarms’ for schedule tasks, which is going against Google ideas on saving battery life, therefor there’s a unique alarm to handle updates.

Create a player setting that will allow a longer buffer. So audio still plays when the signal drops.

In flyme 6 camera did not work from lockscreen on pro6plus.

Add a subscription "pause" option.
Make it possible to pause all refresh/download/notification of a certain podcast from the feed. The podcast and its directory are still listed but not active. Essentially archiving a podcast as a reminder/place holder for future use.
1 voteYou can already do this in the podcast Custom settings screen. You can disable the global update for a podcast in which case it can only be updated by pressing on the podcast screen update button instead of using the main screen update button

Link episodes
On shuffle playlist I would like to group episodes of the same podcast with a part 1 and part 2 so they play part 1 immediately after part 2.

I cannot see the track title in full in Android Auto - is it possible to scroll this across continuously?

Marking episodes as played has no impact on the downlaoded status on an episode.
Delete the episode and it will be marked as played as well.

To be able play downloaded podcasts in order continuously from the list.
If I'm connected to wifi, at the end of a downloaded episode it jumps back in the list to a random older, already played, non downloaded episode and starts streaming it. If not connected to wifi it just stops at the end of each episode and I have to manually move it and start the new episode.
1 voteThe app relies on your playlist content for the playback. By default played episodes are automatically dequeue. Please check the playlist settings to restore this setting.
If you’re using the continuous mode instead then make sure to exclude ‘played content’ and to disable ‘allow streaming’ if you only want unplayed downloaded episodes in that list.
