To be able play downloaded podcasts in order continuously from the list.
If I'm connected to wifi, at the end of a downloaded episode it jumps back in the list to a random older, already played, non downloaded episode and starts streaming it. If not connected to wifi it just stops at the end of each episode and I have to manually move it and start the new episode.
1 voteThe app relies on your playlist content for the playback. By default played episodes are automatically dequeue. Please check the playlist settings to restore this setting.
If you’re using the continuous mode instead then make sure to exclude ‘played content’ and to disable ‘allow streaming’ if you only want unplayed downloaded episodes in that list.

trigger refresh and download on Android Auto version
I know that the android auto version supports playback, but could you extend the version's capability to allow for refresh, or downloads... Would be great.
1 voteYou can already trigger the updates from the extra commands (press on the 3 dots menu on the right side of the player controls)

Improve handling of download podcasts
When I update my podcasts daily, I scan for top items and download those manually, partially to create a prioritized playlist, but mainly to avoid using cell data.
This caused a problem when my playlist looks like this:
episode #1 (downloaded)
episode #2 (not downloaded, won't stream when no wifi)
episode #3 (downloaded)Ideally, I want to press play, and if #2 is skipped, #3 starts playing. Instead, I have to manually manage this.
Likewise, since I'm manually managing, that means I usually stop a downloaded podcast with a bit left to go and picking the next one. That means…
1 voteYou can enable Settings/Playlist/Skip on error in order to do this.
If you’re done listening to an episode you can long press on the next episode button so the app can first delete the current one and then switch to the next episode -
Accessible feedback button
The feedback button should be available in all the "..." drop downs instead of hiding inside app settings

Paused download notification isn't great
The paused download notification is annoying. 1) it's animated, 2) it reappears after you dismiss it, 3) I don't really need to see any notification for paused notifications, but I can see where iteration might

Playlist Bug
I order my playlist in manual order. This used to work fine till about 1-2 months ago then it would move to a random podcast in the list after the top one was finished playing. For example podcast 1 finishes and podcast 5 starts playing. I have seen no pattern that determines which podcast in the playlist will play next.

Either the app is still on that list or the device ROM has a bug because it keeps telling the app Feel free to send me a screenshot of the Non optimized apps list so I can check if this is the correct screen.Thanks

The app is already asking the device to show ‘long’ toast messages.
There should be displayed for 3.5s according to Android source code -
Bring back the "Add to Playlist" button
This used to be present on each episode, but has disappeared in recent updates. Where'd it go?

Nothing has been removed from the app.
My gues is that you disabled the playlist (Settings/Playlist) or the internal player (Settings/Player/Audio)

Include virtual podcasts in the custom playlist
When selecting the categories to add episodes to the custom playlist, virtual podcasts are excluded. Even if I add a a virtual podcast to a category with regular podcasts, only the regular episodes will be taken in the playlist, not the virtual ones.
I'd be very happy, if I could have a custom playlist only comprised of virtual podcast episodes based.

Archive a podcast feed
Hi! So far, you only have a choice between deleting a podcast feed ("unsubscribing") or keeping it in the home folder. It'd be convenient to be able to archive or deactivate a podcast feed without losing them completely, so you keep all the information and can reactivate it later if needed. (Especially convienent podcasts that are fed just during summers - quite frequent in France.)
1 voteYou can disable the podcast updates from its custom settings if this is what you’re referring to.
That way refreshing your subscriptions will skip this podcast but it’s still available and you can restore this behavior later.

Please add an option to disable the background running
Even if I am doing anything with the app, it keeps running in the background consuming over than 60 MB of my 256 MB smartphone's RAM. Please add an option to disable the background run
1 voteThe app requires the background service in order to work properly. If the app is still using 60MB of RAM it just means that your device hasn’t needed more resources for now, otherwise Android would have notify the app about resources being low and the app would have cleared its cache freeing all that RAM. Apps not complying are killed.
Android is doing a relaly good job in handling the resources/RAM

Please don't show the warning for the downloadpath since Android KitKat on EVERY startup of the app
When I open Podcastaddict every time a warningbox appears. I know that an app only can write in a specific folder since KitKat! Please make it visible only after an update or sth.else.
1 voteThis message means that the current storage folder isn’t valid. Make sure to change the path to a valid on in order to fix this issue whch will then remove the message.
The app cannot work properly with an invalid storage path -
Listening history
Show a history of played podcasts. Occasionally I bump play in my pocket and I miss hours of podcasts and forget what I had spooled up

Hello, I think adding "Not already played" inside podcast filter (in menu where is possible to select "All, recent, download, favorite, already played, ...") can be usefull.

You can already do this by enable Resume upon headset connection AND Keep listening to remote commands in Settings/Player

have ability to delete mostly finished episodes
Sometimes I don't completely finish an episode or only 60% finished an episode and decided it wasn't good enough to finish and don't have time to go through and mark them finished. Maybe an option to delete episodes that are a certain percentage finished? Thanks! Love your app.

Jump Forward near the end of a show sometimes result in wrap around the show
Near the end of shows, there tend to be fillers by the moderator, so I tend to use Jump Forward. Sometimes when I hit Jump Forward right near the end of the show, PA wraps around that show and starts playing from the beginning again, instead of moving on to the next show.

please make it work with adoptable SD Cards
My phone only has 8gb of internal memory, once i have the default apps installed i have no memory.
I did have the internal and sd card separate but i had no choice to make it an adopted SD card.
Podcast Addict is an excellent app, but with no option to move the app or the podcasts to the adopted SD card, i'll have to look elsewhere for my podcasts.this make me very sad.
i feel you should let the user decide if they would like to run the risk of data corruption on the SD card.

Please send me an email with more detail so I can understand what the issue is as the purpose of using this SD card feature is to avoid managing your storage space manually as the device now uses a virtual unique storage volume
