Episode description in playlist's context menu
I often find myself in the context of the playlist while listening. Another episode of a podcast catches my attention and I quickly want to see its meta information (description etc.). Currently this cannot be done, and I have to switch to thr podcasts overview or download section...

Have the ability for separate feeds to be sorted differently.
Basically have the ability to have separate podcast feeds be sorted differently have one a to z and have others latest episode on top

This is my app and I chose not to open sourced it. Instead I make a living developing it.

Allow new podcasts to show up in Android Auto
We have to open the app and sync first, then connect to Android Auto.
1 voteYou can trigger the update from Android Auto if this is hat you’re asking. Otherwise the latest episodes are available as usual from tyhe playlist screen or by browsing the podcasts. Feel free to send me an email with more detail so I can understand what the request is (Settings/Feedback)

Add a badge notification for new, unplayed episodes that can be seen without going into the app.

Allow filtering views to only display downloaded episodes
There are some podcasts I listen to and have several episodes downloaded at any time. When I'm ready to listen to one, sometimes I have to scroll through to find an episode that I have stored locally. It would be good to have a way to filter so that only those episodes appear.

Minimize podcast in Playlist
I have several podcasts with over 100 episodes in my Playlist, it'd be awesome if I could minimize them so that scrolling is easier, that or the more popular multiple/saved playlists idea
1 voteSorry but you cannot minimize the display of an episode in the playlist.
You can use the Custom playlist tab to organize your podcasts into categories and select which category you want to listen to. That way your list will contain less episodes. Feel free to send me an email if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)

Time code tagging
I suggest adding a Time code tab. While I'm listening to podcasts sometimes I'll hear something that I want to go back and listen to again i

It allows you to save a playback position and to add some notes to it -
Make the Landing Page Editable
I find that I almost always want to go to the "Downloaded episodes" page when I open the app. It would be great if I could set that as the landing page so that it'd open first

Please add "Voice of Nigeria" to Podcast Addict's search engine
I'd like a station named "Voice of NIgeria" to be added to the search engine as an actively streaming station, this can be verified via https://tunein.com/radio/Voice-of-Nigeria-s296612/
1 voteSorry but I don’t manage the search engine. I’m using TuneIn search engine which for some reasons explains show results but state that those cannot be streamed. My guess is that the radio has an exclusive partnership to only be listen to from some specific apps.

Show a playback screen from pull down menu (android)
While my podcast is playing and I've navigated to something else on my phone, I'd like a simple pull down from top (notification drawer) that would show me what is now playing. This would give me the ability to pause the audio or skip ahead.
1 voteUnless you disabled Podcast Addict notificaitons on your device, there’s always a player notification displayed when playback is in progress.

Support for Fire TV
It would be great if you could support Fire TV devices. There isn't really any podcast app available for this platform, and yours is the best!

Listened and downloaded episodes
A quick way to find the already listened and downloaded episodes, to delete them when needed
1 voteYou can open the downloaded episodes screen and use teh menu to force the deletion of episodes already marked as played

The update process retrieves new episodes published. Those new episodes cannot be already marked as played.
You can press on the toolbar ‘eye’ button in the podcast screen to show or hide played content -

Sorry but the app relies on the device to handle the screen status. Unless you’re watching a video, there’s no reason to keep the screen ON

Add Remote Control Widget to Chromecast Playback
It would be very nice to have the typical widget display and controls ('currently playing' details and pause, primarily) while the app is playing through a Chromecast.
Possibly overriding the "x" with disconnect from Chromecast, but that is an additional upgrade on top of this feature.
1 voteThe Google Play Services are automatically showing a notification for the Chromecast when Podcast addict is put in the background. This notification allows you to control the playback and/or disconnect from the Chromecast

Hide some podcast from main podcast window
I have many podcasts subscribed, I want the possibility to hide some selected podcasts (from the main window), podcasts that I don't listen to frequently.
1 voteYou can set the podcasts you want to see on the main screen in a new category and then select this category on the main screen. Then until you change the display you will not see the other podcasts

Show us pictures of controls
Controls such as the freaking sleep timer need pictures to show us where to set it up. Following directions given, I easily find the timer on off switch... no, NONE, NOTTA setting for duration of said timer. We dumb people need pictures.
1 voteThe sleep timer can be controlled from the player screen. Press on it to enable it, then press once more to disable it

Configurable speed
When overriding the player options for a podcast stream, you can I would like to be able to set a specific play speed instead of the general setting.
