Sorting the podcast list based on the date of last UNPLAYED episode
1 voteYou an do this by first hidding played content and then sorting the remaining episodes by publication date.
You can hide played content by pressong on the toolbar ‘eye’ button -

Change sensitivity of Quick Scroll bar with 'All Podcasts' view.
If there are more than a few episodes showing (All podcasts shown, there is also Downloaded or Recent etc..), when I press the quick shortcut play button (right side of each episode) the quick scroll sends me all the way down the list and getting back to the podcast I wanted to listen to can be a huge pain. Or move the quick the other side. I've tried being very careful and it doesn't help.
1 voteThe fast scroll is part of the ListView component. Unfortunately there’s nothing I can do if the hit zone isn’t properly managed on the device. The only workaround would be to disable the fast scroll setting to avoid this. Sorry I cannot be more helpful

YouTube feed to mp3 podcast
Is there a chance you could add a option to automatically convert and download, YouTube feeds to mp3 ? Would be awesome. Thanks
1 voteYouTube is a streaming platform. It doesn’t authorize downloading the content, unless you’re a YT Red subscriber. Event in that case they are not providing API so 3rd party apps can provide this feature.
Apps not complying with YT terms of services can be banned from the Play Store -

You can go into Settings/Display/Podcasts and enable Custom sorting so every screen can have its own sorting mode

Make the driving layout keep the screen on
I love the size and clarity of the driving layout but if I have to keep turning my phone back on it kinda defeats the purpose.

The restore option doesn't work. can't restore either full backup or OPML.
ok so you can't restore OPML cause the backup option filters out anything that's not ".backup", and you can't restore ".backup" cause it just doesnt' work.
scenario. old samsung phone -> new samsung phone. transfer apps using samsung smart transfer. restore from backup doesn't work. try it some time. it's hideous

add a feature to skip download/playlist if the description matches a given keyword.
I hav PA set to download and enqueue podcasts automatically, but there are a couple that have guest hosts or specific topics that I'd rather not download at all. I'd like to add those names or keywords to list that, if it matches the podcast title/description, PA doesn't download the episode and instead just marks it as played.

If you use the exclusion filter, episodes ;atching those keywords will not be available in the app -

Where are the show notes
Many podcast announcers refer to show notes with links and topic specific information, I have yet to find a way to access them using this app.

Total time remaining playlist
Display in playlist the cumulative time of the playlist and not only each episode. I usually set a playlist for a couple of hours bike ride and I want to make sure that I have enough content in queue for the whole ride.
1 voteYou can see the playlist total duration by using the playlist option menu
You can also go into the app Settings/Sliding menu and edit the settings to show the playlist duration in the navigation sidebar instead of the number of episodes -

jerky sound
Since the last android update, on my Samsung Edge 7, the sound is jerky. It never happened before...

Regarding the issue, make sure to disable the device battery saver settings and to exclude both Podcast Addict and Chrome from the device optimized apps list

Option: Skipp dublicate Content
Pls build a Function, that removes dublicate content in episodes. This will remove prerolls, advertising, housekeeping, intros, jungels.
1 voteYou can use the skip intro / outro feature to skip the first / last XX seconds of an episodes.
There will not be any feature to try to detect ads and skip them automatically -

Dans l'appli player radio, Le bouton plus sert uniquement à ajouter l'adresse d'un flux radio. Il faut aller dans un autre menu pour trouver la base de donnée podcast addict.
Pour la majorité des utilisateurs, les stations existent déjà dans la base de donnée...
Je recommande donc d'avoir un lien vers ce moteur de recherche directement dans le menu "plus" pour être plus homogène avec le reste de l'application.

Save playlist and podcast sort settings with full backup file.
I recently switched phones, and had a few moments of panic as it looked like my priorities had been forgotten, but instead it was just the home page going back to the default sort setting, and the playlist going to manual instead of my old settings.
Otherwise the restore process was fantastic, btw

They are pushing fake information.

There should be a small button on the banner where you can report an ad or ask it not to be displayed anymore -
Display the elapsed play time and total play time on the Android Auto view.
The Android Auto display only shows a progress bar (which is very thin), can it also show time elapsed and total time / time remaining?

Resume on Reconnect bug
I'm not sure if this posted, because I had to sign in, so sorry if it's duplicated. The "Resume on Reconnect" feature is now resuming after the player has been stopped by holding the play button. This changed after a recent update. If I connect an audio device, it will start playing again. I had to disable the feature. "Keep listening" is also off.
