  1. How about moving 15 secs back and forth at a time?

    This is on my ipad podcast app and very handy for skipping repetitive parts of shows or going back to hear a missed phrase.

  4. add Twitter feed functionality

    I use PA for podcasts, audiobooks, youtube and rss feeds. Twitter is the only thing I am missing. Maybe the embed function from twitter could be used? Anyways, PA is my entertainment swiss army knife!

  5. Integrate with google to autobackup the opml to Google Drive

    With the current way to back up the OPML, I have to manually upload the file to Google Drive everytime I want a record.

    I've switched phones a few times and it's always a pain when I don't have a recent backup and I end up trying to remember which shows I subscribed to and which episodes I've listened to.

    I'm sure you can integrate it to send the OPML to cloud backups automatically.

  6. Automatic check new podcasts

    I think it's be cool if the app see the day in week when the podcast usually go on air and give you an alert when podcast is avaliable and show this alert multiple times in week for multiple podcasts.

  7. Allow people to make categories.

    On the main screen you have the podcasts art and just above that there's a select category. I'd like to be able to delete the categories and make new ones for me. Like I have podcast that I haven't started yet. I'd like to out those in a category so I don't have to pick through them.

  9. Settings Backup

    Do the back ups save the settings? I love all the features of this app and have it customized quite a bit. I tend to transfer phones often however, and I've had to redo the settings each time I've restored from a back up. Am I doing something wrong or is this a feature that can be added?

  10. Restore the ability to filter downloaded episodes by podcast.

    Recent update removed the ability to filter downloaded episodes by podcast. Please put that back. I read your comment about enabling auto playlist, but that doesn't do it.

  11. Add more search engines to supplement the cap of 100 results from itunes.

    APIs for alternative search engines are mentioned in this post http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3201052/podcast-search-api - some appear to allow up 1000 queries in a day per user. This would be much more useful in finding long tail podcasts in certain niches. iTunes always returns the same results and the limit of 100 is frustrating.

  13. ensure the playlist sorts by the same sorting as the downloads

    Right now, I have automatic downloads set to pull the oldest first. I have playlists set to add to the bottom. In theory, I should get older episodes first. The problem is when I get extremely long podcasts (i.e. George Carlin's Hardcore History). Even though it starts to download the oldest episode first, a newer episode will often finish first and be added to the bottom of the playlist. Episodic podcasts suffer in this regard because I end up hearing a newer episode before the prequel episode.

    The app downlaods 1 episode at a time. Therefore episodes will be added to the playlist following the download order if you enabled automatic playlist for downloaded episodes.
    By default the playlist has no sorting (manual mode) in which case you can choose if new episodes are added below the current one or at the top or bottom of the playlist.
    If you prefer you can sort the playlist by publication date using the sort button. Please send me an email if you have any question (Settings/feedback)

  15. Add an episode filter for 'unread episodes'.

    I could then add all my unread episode into one big playlist, sort them how I want, and watch the number slowly tick down.

    BTW great app, I can see you put a lot of love in this.

  16. Make it possible to subscribe to a public figure and see all related podcasts

    It would be great to be able to follow a theme or a celebrity and automatically see all new related podcasts. For example you could subscribe to an artist or politician and be sure not to miss any of his/her radio appearances.
    (even on channels that you don't follow based on the podcast summary)

    Please try to use the Search based podcast feature for this.
    This basically will basically create a new podcast with episodes search results for the keywords you entered. So if you put the name of someone you should have access to most episodes where this person was referred to in the show notes including future episodes

  17. Different sorting rules to sort episodes in each podcast separatelly

    Often audiobooks need to sort by filename, but podcasts by date. One global setting is not enough.

  18. Download button in the "New Episodes" notification

    It would be good to have a "Download" button in the "New Episodes" notification. I have set Podcast Addict to automatically check for new podcasts in the morning, but I keep the auto-download disabled, so that I can decide if I'm interested before downloading.
    So, it would be good if I could start download directly from the notification, without having to open the application.
    This would also be helpful for integration with wearable (I currently have a Pebble), as download could be started directly from the watch, without the need to take the phone.

    You can enable Automatic download per podcast if you want to. Otherwise you can press on the Nw episodes notification to show the list of episodes and either download them one by one or select the epsiodes you want to listen to before pressing on the download button

  19. music recognition

    Is it possible to insert a music title recognition, or something to permit Shazam or SoundHound to listen the podcast ?
