make it possible to move back from the player to the specific podcast list.
I select which podcast I want to listen to from the specific podcast screen. I would like a shortcut to this screen. Every time i want to change to a different episode from the same podcast I have to click several times to get back there.... Hold that thought, I just discovered that there is a way to do it in only three clicks.
1. Click the settings button (three little dots at top right).
2. Click podcast description.
3. Click on the episodes button.It's not ideal but it's several clicks less than before.
3 votesYou can use the Continuous playback mode to do so. In that case press on the player previous/next track button to switch to a different episode of the same podcast.

You can already select multiple episodes in order to apply a grouped action.

Tu peux déjà choisir l’écran d’accueil en remplaçant l’icone de démarrage de l’app par le widget nommé ‘Podcast Addict – Shortcut’

Add to playlist position: "Add after (or before) last added"
It would be extremely useful when adding multiple episodes in a row to have them be added as a list in the order they were added.
1 voteThis is the default behavior of the playlist if you’re using the default ‘manual sorting’. If you’re using an automatic sorting like ‘sort by publication date’, then episodes are added to the playlist based on their publications date

3 votesThe app displays the information provided by the RSS feeds you subscribed to. If you don’t see the transcript of the episode within the episode description screen it means that the podcast owner doesn’t provide it. Unfortunately there’s nothing I can do about this.

Sort using natural order (i.e. when there are numbers in episode names).
e.g. so that "Episode 2" appears before "Episode 10"

The app relies on the information provided by the podcast owner to sort the content -

Delete/hide episodes longer/shorter than
My favorite feed is filled with short highlights from the longer episodes that also are in the same feed. So I have to manually delete them every time I update the feed. There could be a rule that automatically delete episodes shorter than x minutes after the feed has been updated.
4 votesYou can already do this if the podcast RSS feed contains the duration information. To do so, long press on the podcast, select ‘Custom settings’, then Filter and select the duration criteria for the episodes. This criteria will then be applied to future episodes of the podcast

Abilty to Sort/Filter Playlists
In the same vein of the way excel spreadsheets work. E.g: sort by priority, then by oldest to newest episodes.
Love the app and really appreciate the latest update to allow for download pausing!

Bug: podcast addict incorrectly determines an mp3 length

Google chrome for Android shows real length (45 min), while podcast addict thinks there are only 25 minutes. Continuous play works fine after 25 minutes, but seeking is imposible and resuming resets to beginning of file.1 votePlease don’t use this website to report an issue. Playback is handled by the device built-in player, not by the app. What you describe means that your device doesn’t fully support the file encoding. Because of that it shows the wrong duration and fails to change playback position.
Please send me an email with your device and android version information so I can see if there’s a workaround.Thanks

If I pause an episode, minimize the app and after a couple minutes press play again, the episode time retrocedes many minutes.

Playback is handled by the device built-in player, not by the app. This issue means that your device doesn’t fully support the file encoding, therefore it will fail to resume playback on every app relying on the device player.
Please send me more detail like the device, android version and if you’re streaming so I can try to find a workaround.

Sorry but as explained in my email answer, the app requires this service. This service won’t use any CPU/battery unless you are currently updating, downloading or listening to a podcast

Curious as to why it is necessary for this app to load during device startup.
In my little scheme of things, it should only be running when opened.

The app requires a running background service in order to run properly. That’s why you see it after rebooting the device -

For the past 18 months Podcast Addict targets Android 4.0+.
An old build of the app was still available on the Play Store for Android 2.x, but I had to take it down, because Google found a security issue in one of the library used by this old version of the app.
Google is also preventing this old version of Podcast Addict from being used on Android device (it won’t even open)

Make podcastaddict account accessible.
By making it possible to sign up to a personal podcastaddict account it would make it simple to switch between devices and have easy access to all your subscriptions. It would make upgrading to a new phone uncomplicated, or switch to a tablet painless, rather than having to resubscribe to every podcast individually.

BTW you can use the app built-in backup/restore feature if you want to change devices. You will retrieve all your data within minutes -
