Multiple custom playlists
I would love to create multiple playlists in which podcast subscriptions could be added or removed.
By weary of example, my BBC, NPR, and ABC news casts would go into one called say news, and the longer science podcasts under day science docs.
It is similar to this post but that is on 2013 and is incorrectly marked solved.
Podcast Addict v3.42 has just been released.
This new version finally adds support to multiple playlists.
In order to use this new feature, you can go into the Playlists screen and select the new ‘Custom’ tab.
Then you can select the category of your choice and listen to it.
Those default categories are provided by the podcast owner in their RSS feeds, but you can press on the toolbar ‘Category’ button and add/delete/customize them.
That way you can create playlists like News, Commute, Workout, Audiobooks, SFW, …
Each playlist can have its own sorting mode.
Please let me know what you think about this new feature
Thanks

New version will add multiple playlist support.
In order to do so you will need to enable Continuous playback mode in the app Settings/Playlist screen
Then the playlist screen will have a 3rd tab which displays the podcasts categories.
You can then select the category of your choice to start listening to it.
You can edit/delete/add categories
The app will remember the sorting by category

Unfortunately it is not a solution I was hoping for. Previous comment described what would be ideal solution. Any chance it will be fixed?

This feature is in _no way_ what people who are asking for 'multiple custom playlists' want.
We want:
- a way to select any number of arbitrary episodes from any podcast to which we are subscribed
- to group those episodes into a single, named playlist
- to have multiple such custom playlists. We don't want to muck about with putting arbitrary 'categories' on the particular episodes we want in order to cajole the filter into picking up all and only the specific, arbitrary episodes we want in our playlist.
I don't see what is so difficult to understand about this.

@Anonymous
The custom playlist allows you to select the category of your choice (that you can create and customize)
Then in your settings you can prevent the app to show not downloaded episodes in those playlist. Please contact me if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)

Hi, I'd like to be able to create my own multile playlists according to the podcasts I've downloaded. Custom right now has all the subscriptions instead of what I've downloaded.

You can press on episodes 'add to playlist' buttons to add them to the audio playlist -

How do I get everything in just one playlist.
I just reinstalled on a new phone and now new episodes are not auto adding to a single list. -

Love the feature, but unfortunately, continuous play now seems to default to the custom playlist for me - I can no longer just play all of audio podcasts by priority. Even if I start playing from Audio tab, the next one played is next in custom list Category.

Thanks Xavier that's awesome! I'll go check it out! (And sorry for all the damn typos in the original request)

I think what us being suggested is adding podcast subscriptions, possibly, as the custom category titles would help to provide a user, but ALSO, MORE INTERESTINGLY, specific podcast EPISODES for playing within their own respective playlists (types like - person featured, specific subject matter, time length of ep., etc.).
Hopefully this helps!
Thanks for considering this:)
