have a "car mode" for audio to match the car layout for the player
Podcast Addict is amazingly stable and usable for such a feature-filled product and I would love to use it, but I mostly want to listen to podcasts in my (noisy) car and there are enough annoyances that add up to make it unpleasant. I'd like a few audio adjustments to improve things:
1) compress dynamic range - my biggest problem is that the noisy environment in my car means that for some podcasts I either get blasted when someone suddenly talks loudly or else I strain to hear the quiet parts (the outros can be especially bad for suddenly being very loud)
2) normalize volume - same problem on a bigger scale. Different podcasts can vary a lot on volume so at the end of one podcast I sometimes think Podcast Addict has been killed by my phone when actually the succeeding podcast was much quieter and vice versa.
3) equalize for voice - this might be difficult or take CPU/battery, but is it possible to somehow emphasize voices? I think the majority of podcasts are vocal and not musical. I don't know if it would make much difference but I would welcome anything that helps increase intelligibility in noisy environments.
Thanks for a great product!

Actually, now that I think of it, adding the same thing to playback during Android Auto would be great too.
