Allow customisation/control of download retry
Currently about 10% of my BBC downloads fail. This is due to their servers (often akamai) being unable to respond to too many concurrent requests. This is not a network glitch.
It would be great if PA would allow me to explicitly specify extra retries 1 hour or 24 hours or... etc. after first publication for certain favourite podcasts.
This ensures complete collections.
Can you please open the download manager error tab and then let me know the difefrent erros that you're getting?
Thanks

The usual error I get is along the lines of
"ConnectException - Failed to connect to domain.whatever/12.34.56.78:80"In my case it's where the server is just powered down at that time or I am at a location with restricted Internet access which blocks access to the particular podcast server.
I usually have to clear several errors each week.

I've recently noticed multiple episodes of my podcasts being marked with a red icon, which I have to press to download the episode.
I have no idea why they've not downloaded on the initial attempt, but it means I end up skipping episodes by the time I notice. -

I have a podcast that seems to publish their feed before the file is available, if I retry later in the day I am able to get the file. It would be nice to be able to set the time between file download retries.
