Cross device synchronization
Would be great to be able to synchronize subscriptions, playlist, read status, ... between devices
Just a heads up regarding the latest version of the app. It doesn’t provide cross device syncing yet, but it allows you to sign in to your Google Drive account and have all your data automatically backed up to make sure they are safe at all time. It also makes restoring the data on a new device really easy.
You can go into Settings/Backup to enable this and sign-in
Thanks

Any update on this? How did that possible solution from last November pan out? Really keen to support in any way possible, and defo appreciate all the other work you're doing - tho to know whether this is likely to happen or not, would be great.
Thanks... -

Is this implemented and I'm not seeing the option

Syncing with the own user infrastructure should be simple enough.
I'm strongly considering moving to other podcast app just to get device syncing. Which is sad, since I've been using Podcast Addict for quite a few years now.
Could you give this feature some love, Xavier?

Xavier,
You wouldn't necessarily need to use your own server infrastructure for sync. You could simply integrate with other sync providers, preferably SyncThing (since it is free and open source with no storage limits), or additionally Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.Ideally, this would allow for syncing not just state information (episode lists, read status, settings, etc.) but also content (episode descriptions and media files). You could also allow for archiving settings to be different per-device, so that, for example, one device could archive all podcast episodes but another device could delete all media files once they've been read.

Hi Xavier,
When can we expect onedrive sync? That would be nice to automaticaly sync between my car android device and my phone.
Thanks in advance.

Keeping an iTunes sync at bay will help speed up and reduce cost to development of a holistic sync approach. Better to allow an iTunes export - data dump into Podcast Addict for iOS/Android/Chrome Web App versions of the application. Request a bridging of data between iTunes and Podcast Addict is problematic at best and takes away from Xavier's time develope and enhancing other features better served.
What we should focus on and request is a Google Apps and Google API-centric sync development, where a Google account has the ability to install Podcast Addict on iOS, Android, or Chrome OS/browser app and instantly sync playlists and marked as read + config settings using Google user data sync and OAuth 2.0 security. It's a proven method for Google platformed applications and user data.
This approach would work for Mac users, Windows machines, Linux, Android et al. Because Podcast Addict allows for iTunes searches, there's no justifiable reason to pursue an iTunes data bridge into Podcast Addict. Let's not support iTunes, lets support Xavier and development of features that best serve this application and not Apple Inc.

I have an iPad that syncs from iTunes, and an Android phone with Podcast Addict. I would love to have some way to keep them in sync. Right now I have to manually delete things in iTunes if I have played them in Podcast Addict, or vice-versa. Even if it required a manual step, such as doing an import/export in iTunes by hand, I'd take that.

I already donated. I would donate more if I could sync across devices, using Gdrive or Dropbox or any other method.

I'd like to be able to sync between phone and tablet. I have the pro version.

I've already paid the Pro version and I would pay 2-5$ more just for cross-device synchronization. If it would be synchronization using https://theoldreader.com it would be even better.

I would pay for this feature, I hope you can get it working soon.

Is cross synching available, yet? I agree that it should be a paid feature."

@Anonymous the app will never be able to sync status with iTunes.
Apple doesn't provide such APIs, so that's not possible
