Automatic deletion if there are old episodes or too many episodes downloaded
Many podcast catchers have this feature. There is a limit of how many downloaded episodes the app can store. If there is more, the oldest one is deleted.
Or there is a time limit (say one week). If an episode is older, it is deleted.

Edit:
This feature is available for testing in v1.23_beta2.
Please join the Beta program using below instructions to test it.
For now the settings are global. In a future version you will be able to override the global settings per podcast.
Please join the Podcast Addict community on G+ to have access to the Podcast Addict beta: https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/110703937937581583161
Once it’s done open the following link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.bambuna.podcastaddict
I will need your feedback to make this feature right.
Duplicated suggestion.
Please vote for https://podcastaddict.uservoice.com/forums/211997-general/suggestions/4203798-a-feature-to-only-keep-a-specified-number-of-most-
Edit: I will deliver this feature in different steps. 1st a global setting with the number of episodes to keep, then I will add a way to define this per podcast. Then I will add other way to automatically remove episodes (based of date, and more)

Episodes articles cannot be deleted. They can be marked as read (can be done automatically once the episode is fully listened to), then read content can be hidden using the eye icon.
Only downloaded files can be deleted -

I am New to PA. Podcasts that I've listened to are not being automatically deleted after I play them. How do you delete casts manually that you've already heard? I've also tried the Select checkmark, but get the message No episode deleted.

There's already a link to this website in the PlayStore description is available in both english and french.
It's also available on the website attached to the Playstore (orange icon/button on the right side of the screen)Regarding this suggestion of automatic deletion it's in my TODO list. I will try to implement it in the upcoming v2.

I was forwarded here from a reply to a comment on the play store (flagged FEATURE REQUEST). Some additional comments:
1) can you put a link up for this feedback site on either the play store or on the website linked off of the play store (it may be there, but, as it's in French, it wasn't clear to me where it was).
2) My use case: I listen to podcasts while walking my dog. Data reception is spotty enough that I like a cached set of podcasts to listen to in a playlist. Using the discovery tools in Podcast Addict I ended up subscribing to the LSE lecture series (London School of Economics) which is great, but generates ~ 10 hours of material a week alone. My storage is now at over 4G (several months of usage) on a Nexus 4 (limited internal storage).
