Bug: cannot refresh a virtual podcast created from a folder while disconnected from network
It says "Connection failure". Why does it need a network connection to do that? All the files are here.

I created a ticket for that. It’s just that it’s using the default Update workflow that is checking the connection before updating ;). I will fix that

This issue has been fixed in July 2013

i can't refresh "folder podcast" when disconnected from network too...

It has been fixed 7 month ago. If you have this message it's because it's updating a real podcast (maybe it's updating a list of podcast among which you have your virtual podcast which will be updated without any connection)
