allow multiple playlists
I listen to different types of podcasts depending on what I am doing. I'd like to be able to separate them so I don't have to keep messing with the order of the list.

Podcast Addict v3.42 has just been released.
This new version finally adds support to multiple playlists.
In order to use this new feature, you can go into the Playlists screen and select the new ‘Custom’ tab.
Then you can select the category of your choice and listen to it.
Those default categories are provided by the podcast owner in their RSS feeds, but you can press on the toolbar ‘Category’ button and add/delete/customize them.
That way you can create playlists like News, Commute, Workout, Audiobooks, SFW, …
Each playlist can have its own sorting mode.
Please let me know what you think about this new feature
Thanks
=========
New version will add multiple playlist support.
In order to do so you will need to enable Continuous playback mode in the app Settings/Playlist screen
Then the playlist screen will have a 3rd tab which displays the podcasts categories.
You can then select the category of your choice to start listening to it.
You can edit/delete/add categories
The app will remember the sorting by category

Congratulations for your wonderful work
But why is it so difficult to create different playlists with tabs to switch from one to the other? Thank you -

Bravo pour votre magnifique travail
Mais pourquoi est-ce si difficile de créer différentes listes de lecture avec des onglets pour passer de l'une à l'autre ? Merci -

I would love this! I listen to a lot of podcasts and I would love to be able to separate them by ones to listen with headphones and ones that are safe to play with my kids in the car.

Would love to see this. I listen to music at work & chat at other times. Would be great to have 2 playlists on the go.

As a very active user, this is a feature I really hope to have not too far in the future. The competing Podcast Republic app supports multiple playlists and I considered migrating but PA is just much more to my liking overall as a product. The lack of multiple playlists is the only critical downside, and the strengths are many.

I not only use it for my own subscriptions but I also subscribe to podcasts for my grandchildren to listen to too. It would be great if there could be named playlists. In this case I could then keep a playlist populated just for them and have another for myself.

This app is so much bette than beyond pod EXCEPT for not havingmultiple playlists. I am learning spanish and i listen to spanish podcasts but i don't want them to pop up in my regular podcasts.

I like this suggestion, although we need to be careful that we don't overcomplicate the UI with too many options and pre-defined playlists (you should be able to delete pre-defined playlists if you don't need them for example).
The greatest thing about Podcast Addict for me is that the app does not delete and remove from playlists or grey out podcasts automatically and although that should remain an option, please don't make it mandatory :-)
Finally, a nice way of doing playlists can be seen in the iOS app Downcast, which was my podcast player of choice before I saw the light and switched to Android (if not for Podcast Addict, I'd have probably switched back by now too).

Be able to manage several playlists with their own order.

That would be great to be able to manage several playlists. The other idea could be to request the listening of all episodes of one podcast without changing the content of the playlist

Very keen to get this too.

"Latest Episodes", "Downloaded Episodes", "Favorite Episodes" "Reading in Progress", "All" and "Trash" should all be just predefined playlists. And users should be allowed to make their own.

Absolutely a must. Please implement. I like to listen to podcasts based on topic, so I'd like to name my playlists. (Android news, comedy, science, etc...) This is a standard feature in most music players.

This would be fantastic. Instead of sorting by podcast, it would be great to have more than one playlist. I have several podcasts I listen to at work. I have several I listen to while working out. I have several I listen to during my commute...and a lot of the ones I listen to commuting or working out are definitely not suitable for work.

This seems to be a popular request is there any plan to adopt it into the app?
Being able to create custom playlists would be great!

For now you can sort the playlist by podcast so you can listen all of them easily.

Please add this, started listening to the Neil Degrasse Tyson podcast, and no my normal daily one is falling way too low on my Playlist and coming in backwards.
Please add a playlist per podcast.
