Add support for Google Chromecast
It would be awesome if Podcast Addict had support for playing content through Google's new Chromecast device. Google Cast API can be found at the link below:
https://developers.google.com/cast/
Please see about adding support for this feature.
Delivered in the last version v2.7

I downloaded version 2.23.3 and opened a mp3, but I don't see any in-app option to send to my Chromecast.
Is it buried in a settings somewhere? The Chromecast device works with the video stream app so I dont suspect it's the network.
Thanks

The chromecast support is a work in progress. I still need to integrate it with the playlist, and also to solve the issues you're talking about. The bugs should be fixed by the end of the week. I hope I will be able to plug the playlist by then as well.

Chromcast looking good so far. I actually like that it always goes to the internet to stream. CC is always online anyway so streaming the downloaded file just wastes battery. Im sure some will want to stream the local copy but should be an option.
Only minor issues i've noticed so far are that the cc playing screen is locked in portrait, distorts the aspest ratio of the image, and back button isnt recognized.
If I start another podcast after on is already playing to cc its been inconsistent. Sometimes it starts playing on the cc sometimes it plays in the 9layer om the device while the cc continues to play the first one.
Unless im missing it seems i have to start playback local before switching to cc, Would like to be able to select cc to play before starting playback.
It is amazing how quick and often you put out updates and respond to users. I can think of more than a few large comanpies with staffs of who knows how many that cant manage that level of support . Thank you!

Yes Google just gave access to the Chromecast white list to 10 new apps. One of them is Beyondpod. So for now I still have to wait. If you find a link where I can submit the app for an early access to the white list, feel free to share it ;)

Beyonpod started supporting chromecast. So maybe this will become true.

I just received my chromecast but for now only a few apps like Netflix and YouTube can publish apps compatible with the chromecast. I can just implement it and test it on my device but I need to wait for Google approval before releasing it...

Il y a moyen d'en trouver maintenant (ex: QoQa.fr en ce moment). Sinon ca finira par tarder à arriver car l'appli est dispo dans le playstore depuis peu.

I see in the news that Amazon has started international shipping of the device:
http://www.engadget.com/2013/10/08/amazon-opens-international-shipping-chromecast/However, it sounds like you wouldn't be able to provide Chromecast functionality in your app until Google opens up the Chromecast API.
