save the default playlist order - so it doesn't have to be selected each time
Currently you can select the playlist order, but each time you download more podcasts you have reselect "sort by XXXXXXXXXXX" (or resort manually).
It'd be better if a chosen "sort by XXXXXXXXXXX" could be a default that is automatically applied each time new podcasts are downloaded.
Thank you.
This feature is now available. Please update to v1.24.1

The playlist sorting is controlled from the playlist screen. Once you change the sorting mode, the app remembers it -

Where is this setting located? I can't seem to find it.

I understand that there may be technical limitations, but in this case all the episodes are sortable when enqueued, since they are sorted right when the next one is added.
The issue can be summed up as: when enqueueing a single episode on a playlist with >=2 elements, the new episode remains at the top, regardless of which automatic sort order is picked.
This could be solved by changing the order from "re-sort -> enqueue" to "enqueue -> re-sort".By the way, I must congratulate you for the quick turnaround on questions and feature requests, it is rare to see such high involvement from app developers.

Playlist is only sorted when a new episode is added to the playlist or when the sort setting is modified. Most RSS feed does not contain episode duration information or it contains wrong information. This information can only be known for sure when the episode is played for the first time.

Watched as a series of episodes were enqueued with the "sort duration min->max." enabled and it seems that the playlist is sorted before an episode is enqueued. new episode is put at the top and is only moved to its proper position when the next one finishes downloading and is enqueued.
This means that the episode that is enqueued last remains at the top of the playlist regardless of sort option, because there is no next episode to trigger the re-sort. -
New episodes are inserted in the playlist which is then automatically sorted based on your sort options. If you are using manual sort (aka drag and drop) then new episodes are added at the end of the playlist

Whenever new episodes are automatically enqueued with one of these options selected, they are not always inserted in the playlist according to the selected order, requiring a re-sort. This happens on version 1.25.2
