Add support for chapter marks
For long audio files support for chapter marks would be great. See here: http://auphonic.com/blog/2013/07/03/chapter-marks-and-enhanced-podcasts/
The app now supports chapters for M4A, MP3 and Vorbis files
It can also extract those informations from the RSS feeds.
Chapter support includes:
– custom artwork
– custom urls
Please add support for podlove simple chapters http://podlove.org/simple-chapters/
The Feature I miss most. Any update? Any plan to implement?
Thanks for the great work overall, Tom
I fully support the chapter mark idea. In fact being an AntennaPod user, I looked around to see if there are any changes, but since that important feature is missing, I won't switch.
This has quite a bit of votes, any updates on it?
I cannot wait for this to become a reality. There is not a single audio player in the market except Akimbo that can play embedded chapters.

This is the only feature missing in my eyes. Would love to see this added soon
I have to agree with everyone here. Chapter navigation would be amazing in Podcast Addict! Definitely hoping to see this come in a future update. Cheers! :)
This would be a game changer! Have any of the links in this thread been helpful? It seems possible. Thanks for the great product!

Podcast Addict is very close to perfection. It is by far the best podcast client on Android.
.... but the only thing missing is the support for chapter marks!
It would be fantastic to see this in the future!
Support for chapter marks would be absolutely fantastic. :-) I miss this feature! Many podcasts nowadays come along with chapter marks. It would be great if chapter marks would be accessible from within Podcast Addict.
Xavier, you can find an existing implementation of chapter mark support here in this open source Android podcatcher (AntennaPod): https://github.com/danieloeh/AntennaPod
Relevant code you might want to look at if you want to implement chapter mark support could be located (for instance) at:
I love this podcatcher. It would be really nice to have this feature! For easy implementation of ID3v2-chapters see here: http://id3.org/id3v2-chapters-1.0

I also would like to see this feature added as I just switched from an IOS. Device but more specifically I want an enhanced podcast experience as I listen to my podcast.

I listen to podcasts with long episodes (2, 3 or more hours) that cover a certain number of topics, all marked with chapter marks. If I am not interested in one topic I would like to skip to the next one by just selecting the next chapter.
I guess there are not so many users aware of this feature in podcasts and thus do not request it here...
