the app can suscribe to youtube feeds and can be download videos or only audio.
I just published v1.22 on the Play Store. You can register to a Youtube channel by providing a youtube URL in the RSS url dialog

For those who have problem after adding youtube feed, just reset feed and it will start working again.

Does not seem to work anymore. I tried adding https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC7SeFWZYFmsm1tqWxfuOTPQ and it doesn't fetch anything.

@Anonymous
The link you provided isn't a RSS feed. You can only subscribe to RSS feeds or to YT channels/Playlists. There's no support for Dailymotion APIs -

Hi Xavier, I'd like to subscribe to video in dailymotion e.g.
https://www.dailymotion.com/playlist/x607c7
I didn't succeed in adding it even by entering the rss flow https://www.dailymotion.com/rss/playlist/x607c7
Do you have any idea of the way to do it? -

Can you add flair or something to rss to describe this? Or just a YouTube button that takes.you to the rss page. Maybe I'm just not that quick but it took me a good while to realize this was how it worked. YouTube is mentioned elsewhere in app(maybe a sort filter?) And I thought there was a distinct way to add youtube content. Still not sure how to add it as audio only but assume I can figure it out.

Please send me an email in case of an issue (Settings/Feedback)
This issue means that you made Podcast Addict the default app for this content by pressing on the Android 'ALWAYS' button after selecting Podcast Addict to open a YT url.
You can go in the device Settings/APPS/Podcast Addict screen and press on 'clear default actions' to fix this. -

for some reason anytime I click on any YouTube link (and occasionally other as well) on my phone, instead of opening the YouTube app, it opens Podcast Addict and offers to subscribe.
How can I turn this off?
It's Super annoying! -
Until TouTube provides API for YT Red with such features (background playback, download, ...) I won't be able to provide any of those features

+1 on the YouTube Red offline downloads and the ability to play these within PA! Possible?

Now that YouTube Red is a thing, will PA support downloading YouTube videos (for Red subscribers, of course)?
-
@Andrew
Every YouTube episode is played with the YouTube app.
I'm not sure to understand your question. Please send me an email with more detail at podcastaddict@gmail.com
Thanks -

Is there a way to open youtube episodes in the YouTube app or at least have some sort of integration with YouTube so that episodes you watch will show up in your YouTube history?
-
@Richard
Yes it works fine. You just have to paste the official YouTube channel into the app and that's it. In case of an issue please contact me through the 'Contact Support' button and send me the channel url, app version name, ...
Thanks

Does this feature work still? I see it on the add screen, but no URL I try gets me a valid feed.
-
I may be able to extract more content in the next version ;)
But you will have to reset the subscribtion once I deliver the next version -
This is a google restriction. They only provide the last 25 episodes in their RSS feeds

Why are YouTube channels limited to 25 videos? Every YouTube channel I subscribe to only shows 25 videos.
-
YouTube is a streaming platform. Google forbids to download content from YouTube. Any app that do such à thing will be banned from the play store... Until they allow it officially I won't add this feature.

Great feature! I would love if you could download the video or only audio to watch or listen later.
