News junkie here. I have set up several news podcasts to download 1 episode only and automatically add to the playlist, but depending on the time between when i do download updates and when i view the playlist i may have several older news podcasts to delete from the playlist. Ideally i'd have an option in the 'Playlist' configuration section to 'Keep most recent only', which would add the most recent episode to the playlist and then delete any older episodes on the playlist. I can see this also being useful for pocasts other than news; basically a way to say "Only insert most recent episode in the playlist“.
