Mark as read when skipping to the next episode part deux
It's similar to an idea already posted https://podcastaddict.uservoice.com/forums/211997-general/suggestions/4175412-mark-as-read-when-skipping-to-next-episode-, but I usually use the bluetooth controls in my car, or headset controls, and don't have access to the phone to do the actual long-press to perform this behavior.
Or, perhaps it could be an option between leaving it as a long press, or simply any time you fast-forward.
You can now use the app Player/Skip outro settings for this.
You can set the app to automatically skip the remaining of the episode once you reached XX% of playback and press the skip forward button. This can be customized by podcast if you want to. Feel free to contact me if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)
Thanks

I have the same annoyance when skipping podcasts via my car's and headset's (LG Tone+) Bluetooth AVCRP control. The skipped episode doesn't get marked read (although it does if done directly from phone's screen), so it not only lingers unnecessarily, it also keeps becoming the next episode with "play 1st episode in playlist" option enabled.

Is there any movement to get this feature added?

Agreed. It should be simple enough to add an option to the Player Control Options that allows for the episode to be marked read when pressing the player next track button. Long pressing and then confirming takes way too much time. Many people listen to podcasts that have outros that they don't want to listen to. This seems like something relatively easy to add, please get it done.
