Mark read if less than 5 (optional) minutes left
A feature that automatically will show the podcast episode as read if it less that 5-10 mimutes remaining.
You can already do this by settings up a skip outro setting in the podcast custom settings. If you set it to 5 minutes, the app will automatically skip to the next episode and mark the current one as read. You can also long press on the previous/next episode button at any time to trigger the same behavior manually

Agree with gustav's comment. Not many users use playlists and "skip to the next episode" when the current one is almost over. We don't make a plan when listening to podcasts. We just listen to an episode when there is an update, or when there is an update which looks interesting. After the episode, we are just done.

Long pressing next isn't what I deal eather because I guess not many people actually use the kind of playlists you think. What people do when they realize a episode is about to end and they don't want to listen to the outro is to start something els mannually or turn the episode off. It is at actions like this it would be tremendously usefully that the app recognizes the episode as done

The Solutions here is not acceptable noone wants the player to automatically skip the last minutes we want the episode to be marked as read if you stop or start play something els. If you mean that your solution does this you need to explain it much better!

If you skip to the next episode by long pressing the Next button, the app will delete the downloaded episode and mark it as read, while skipping to the next episode

Love this! The last few minutes of many podcasts are filled with wrap-up and ads, so I usually like to just skip to the next episode. The problem is that PA won't mark it as read unless I listen to the very last second.
