Android Wear Support
I would love to see a few basic Android Wear features to accompany the application. It would be great to be able to :
-Play Podcasts (Start/Pause/Stop/Rewind/etc) (Technically this does work to some extent)
-Basic Voice Controls to search for a specific podcast/channel

The ability to store an episode(s) on my Galaxy Watch 4 so I can listen while out jogging (or for any activity where I'd rather not carry my phone) would be hugely valuable to me.

must have: download episodes to wear os device and listen without phone

algo include the download feature direct to wear os, to hear without mobile. like we do with spotify music,.
On Samsung Watch 4, Podcast Addict shows only skip backward/forward and play/pause buttons, no rewind/fast-forward. Long press nor double press work. Please add rewind/ff if able!

I might be the only one who wants this, but I'd kill to be able to skip forward/back on a running podcast from the watch. Delivery driver here who listens to podcasts throughout my workday. I personally don't need to copy to the watch (though I definitely see the utility of it). I'd just love a quick option to jump past commercials without digging my phone out of my pocket.
Well, I think it´s time to get an android wear app that allows us to listen podcasts without carrying a phone :)
I see PlayerFM allows you to share podcast episodes with Wear Casts. Might this be a relatively easy way to get a degree of WearOS support?

4.5 years and sill no wear app :( What a shame. I just bought the donate version and set up the app. Then I found out, there is no wear companion app. I guess I'll have to look for yet another app.
Still, this would be a great feature and I would love to see it in the future.

A stand alone wear app would be great, as I am just looking for a podcast app for my new android wear watch about to purchase.
On Pebble I used tasker in similar fashion as described by anonymous, worked great, but would love to run phone free. 😊
I wonder if more watches are now out there since 2017

Samsung Gear / Gear Fit too please!
I love podcast addict and the only thing that might make me leave for a competitor is lack of wear support

Id also like the ability to play locally stored podcasts on the watch.
@João Eduardo Dias
I focus on new features based on the popularity of the request.
Stats show that very few users have an Android watch so I'm sorry but this feature isn't at the top of my todo list for now

It has been too long without wear basic app. Why?
With Android Wear 2.0 allowing just watch apps, this would free me from my phone for runs, etc. Sync episode status and this would be awesome.

I would like to have a possibility to download episode on my smartwatch then sync what i had listen after my run. --> Same to me!
Here is one way to launch the app from the watch:
1. Create new Task "Play Podcast Addict"
2. Add actions
Launch App (Podcast Addict)
Send Intent (com.bambuna.podcastaddict.service.player.play)
Allow External Access: Yes
1. Create ActionSet "Play Podcast Addict"
2. Add Tasker Task "Play Podcast Addict"
You can find other intents here: https://podcastaddict.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/217903-how-to-control-podcast-addict-from-3rd-parties-app
Even though there are several features with more votes, I hope that this will be relatively easier to implement, especially "launch the app from the watch, then choose the episode from the playlist to play", since there is some basic Android Wear integration already.
