automate thumbnail deletion
I have just manually deleted hundreds of thumbnails at about 1 Mbyte each. The system must store every thumbnail when you scroll through a list e.g. I had every one from the BBC list. Found the manual thumbnail tidy up in settiñgs but would be better automated. Thanks
I will add a new settings to delete thumbnails of episodes marked as read and to prevent them from being downloaded again later (unless the episode is marked unread)
Available in the latest v2.31.1

+1 to whatever anon said before me
Though I'm not gonna move to something else. I'll just delete the folder. It's 1.62 GB right now, let's see how fast it builds back up
EDIT: Just saw the artwork cleanup option in Settings > Automatic cleanup. It saves me the time of manually deleting the artwork folder through some 3rd party folder organization app so that's a plus

I have just discovered that I have thousands of thumbnails on my phone for podcasts I have never listened to or download. As a previous commentor mentions, it seems like any thumbnail for any podcast I have ever scrolled past while searching for new podcasts has been downloaded and stored on my phone. I only started using podcast addict on my phone in 2017, so whatever 'fix' Xavier did in 2015 did not address this issue. I have switched podcast apps as a result, but wanted to flag this for other users.

I just ask to the support because I have founded more than 1500 thumbnails about outdated episodes.

I made a Tasker profile to clean out the thumbnails. Takes 11 steps to do it right, but wish it was built in.

I agree. The folder for me can hit 30-50 megs of just thumbnails. An auto clean up would be a great way to do this.
Feeds like http://feeds.feedburner.com/NewsHourHeadlinesPodcast where every images is keep, even after deleting the mp3.
