Looks like a server issue. Server might reset the connection in case they are overloaded. Please send some feed url so I can do some tests
allocate fixed spaces for adverts rather than adjusting layout after the advert loads and is rendered which pushes things up the screen.1 vote
As explained on the Play store, I’m using Google admob to display the ads. The ad banner only shows when there’s a network connection and after it retrieved an ad to display. I updated the player layout in the past releases to make the buttons bigger to avoid pressing on the ad banner by mistake. Please update if your’re not on 1.23.2

Just go into the Widget section and you will find 2 Podcast Addict Shortcuts. One open the app on the Playlist, the other one open the app on the Player
you find the bug that is causing it to freeze at start up. The only way to get it to start is to shut the phone down off completely.1 vote

Looks like a bug with episode thumbnails in list of episodes: for downloaded and enqueued the thumbnail is replaced from episode-specific with the podcast-top-level-thumbnail making it difficult to distinguish episodes between each other. I can provide a screnshot.1 vote

I’m not sure there’s a bug in what you describe. When there’re no thumbnail available for episodes, the podcast thumbnail is used. Also make sure you didn’t enable Settings/Data usage/Thumbnail download/Wifi only, otherwise the thumbnails will only download over wifi
It would be great if there was an option to start playback automatically when connecting headphones/headset. The idea is that I unplug them upon arriving at work and it stops, and about 8 hours later I plug them in and continue where I left off - awesomeness. It's also a good way to pause playback without handling your phone if you don't have headset buttons.9 votes
You can already do this by enabling the following:
Settings/Player/Headset/Keep listening to controls
Settings/Player /Headset/Resume on connection
That way the app will be able to start playback when plugging the headset even if the player isn’t started.
But be carreful, because Podcast Addict will then react to every controls even if another app is opened
in the podcast subscription view, I would like to filter out all non-downloaded episodes, so I can just focus on the episodes available to me immediately on my phone storage.3 votes
What you should do is enable automatic playlist (Settings/Playlist). That way downloaded episodes are automatically added to the playlist. Then you just need to open the playlist to have access to every content available on your device.
Since the last improvement i cannot classify my regitered podcast insside the playlist.
I used to choose the order of listening and create a sort of personal playlist .the older version was easier ton configure (to sort but also to automatical download ).

Playlist work the same as well as Automatic download, so please describe exaclty your settings and the step by step process you are following to reproduce this issue.

The app's syringe icon, with its reference to injection and drug addiction is off putting and unprofessional. A mainstream app needs to have a more professional and attractive icon.
I have been put off installing podcast addict for some time solely because of its icon, despite a friend having recommended the app to me. This is a shame, because it seems to be a decent podcast app.1 vote
And FYI Podcast Addict is just a personal project I work on. So there’s nothing ‘unprofessional’ about it ;)
When you resume playing a podcast after disconnecting and later reconnecting a bluetooth headset, the playback position rewinds a considerable time; sometimes about 30 minutes, sometimes to around the 15 minute mark. Annoying in a 4 hour episode!8 votes

Can you please tell me which hardware you are using ? Looks like it might be a device with a MTK65xx CPU which has a severe bug. Those devices cannot resume from Playback using default Android APIs. You will have the same problem with every player app unless they developed a workaround for this specific hardware.

To delete all podcast, open the ‘Downloaded episodes’ Filter and select the delete all option in the menu. To delete a selection, use the menu ‘Action Mode’, then select the episodes you want to delete and press the delete button
I have a problem (Samsung Galaxy S4), if automatic delete option is enabled, and I'm listening to several items. When the screen is off, and the podcast comes to an end, and should delete it and move on to the next in the playlist - it just sits there. The moment I unlock the phone, file is deleted (I see the notification) and the next item starts normally. If I remember correctly, it worked fine in some of the earlier versions.3 votes

Quand on utilise l'application sur plusieurs appareils on ne sait pas quels épisodes ont été lu sur l'autre appareil. Il faudrait que lorsque un épisode est lu sur un appareil, il sois marque comme lu sur l'autre appareil également.0 votes

Le seul flux RSS pour lequel je comptais utiliser l'App fait terriblement ramer sa listview, au point de devenir inutilisable lorsqu'on veut un ancien épisode :
Je pensais que c'était un problème général, mais il semble que les autres flux ne soient pas aussi lents.
Problème constaté sur mes deux appareils : HTC Desire Z (Android 2.3.3, Snapdragon S2 800Mhz) et tablette Acer A210 (Android 4.1.1, Tegra 3)
Un autre flux testé (Radio01.net) laggue un peu sur Snapdragon S2, mais ça reste bien plus utilisable.
C'est nickel sur un Tegra3, par contre.1 vote

Mais comme j’ai expliqué hier il ne s’agit pas d’un bug, mais plutot de limites hardware
