  1. Delete episodes

    Have the ability to delete individual episodes off the app so you don't have 200+ just sitting there rather than just hiding them.

    Next version will have a new setting in ‘Automatic cleanup’ called ‘Keep synced with RSS feed’. It can be enabled globally or per podcast.
    This feature will automatically delete episode articles which aren’t available in the RSS feed anymore.
    Downloaded / favorite / unread episodes won’t be affected

  2. MANUAL Podcast Sort - Not using "Priority"

    I know that one can click Custom Settings, Podcast Priority, and set a number, but this is WAY too cumbersome and not efficient, especially when you want to add newly discovered podcasts and fit them in somewhere. It would be infinitely easier and preferable to simply be able to DRAG and DROP each podcast in the order you wish (if you are using Manual sort). You wouldn't lose the ability to sort by date or alpha etc. but if you select manual sort, you can drag and drop. Please add this it would be so awesome!

  3. allow multiple playlists

    I listen to different types of podcasts depending on what I am doing. I'd like to be able to separate them so I don't have to keep messing with the order of the list.

    Podcast Addict v3.42 has just been released.
    This new version finally adds support to multiple playlists.

    In order to use this new feature, you can go into the Playlists screen and select the new ‘Custom’ tab.
    Then you can select the category of your choice and listen to it.
    Those default categories are provided by the podcast owner in their RSS feeds, but you can press on the toolbar ‘Category’ button and add/delete/customize them.
    That way you can create playlists like News, Commute, Workout, Audiobooks, SFW, …
    Each playlist can have its own sorting mode.

  4. How do I find a specific episode of a podcast?

    For example, I can find the "Stuff You Should Know" podcast series by searching for it when the app opens. However, if I wanted to find a specific episode of this series, like "How do Flamethrowers Work?" I have no way to search for one specific episode in the series.

    This makes looking for episodes in larger podcast series, with hundreds of episodes, very difficult. Can we have a search function that lets us find a specific episode within a podcast series?

  5. Episode thumbnails

    REQUEST: If a podcast has a customized thumbnail, please use that same thumbnail for displaying that podcast's episodes.

    RATIONALE. Currently (v 2.12)--according to the dev--there is no way to predict what thumbnail will be used. E.g., if an episode has its own thumbnail, that thumbnail may, or may not be used. Likewise, if an episode does not have its own thumbnail and its podcast has a customized thumbnail, that thumbnail may or may not be used. Given that the thumbnails users see 99% of the time are episode thumbnails--not podcast thumbnails--it should be possible for users to have max control…

  6. Global Drag And Drop Priority List

    Instead of setting priorities with numbers in the individual podcast settings, have a priority list in the global settings where we can drag and drop podcasts higher or lower on the list.

    In order to use the current system, we have to remember the arbitrary number we've assigned to each podcast and then go into individual settings and change them all. A drag and drop list is easier and faster.

    Edit: Please update to the latest BETA: v3.10 build 569 and let me know what you think of the new Priority setting screen.
    You will also find this screen in Settings/Display/Podcasts

    I will improve the way to set the podcast priority in the next version, but because it makes sense to have multiple podcasts using the same priority I’m not sure a drag and drop list might be doable.
    I’ll let you know once the beta is available to get your feedback

  7. add automatic backups

    It would be great if it were possible to backup the database on a regular basis automatically.
    Even better would be the ability to automatically upload that backup to a cloud storage service.

  8. The sleep timer should fade out the volume gradually instead of stopping play abruptly.

    When falling asleep, it is much more reassuring for volume to slowly fade out Rather than stopping suddenly.

  10. listen to podcasts and a music app at the same time, if possible?

    Most of my podcasts don't have music in them so I would like the option to play Google music (instrumentals) AND my podcast.

  11. Audio Bookmarks in the player

    I suggest you add audio bookmark feature in the player.
    I like to re-listen 2 or 3 times the same part of a radio podcast and at the moment I have to use another android player do audio-bookmarking.
    It would be great if I could have all integrating in one app.

    You can access bookmark from the player and episode screen.
    Long press on the bookmark button to quickly create a new bookmark

  15. Timer active from few hours

    Hi, congratulations for your application. is excellent.

    I use to listen especially before bedtime.

    I have seen in some other application a feature that is interesting: the timer is always active from a few hours user-defined.

    So never forget to start the timer.

  16. Allow temporarily 3G download

    If you want to temporarily download a podcast on 3G connection (short podcast/no Wifi connection...), you need to deactivate Wifi download, download the podcast then reactivate WiFi download.
    Adding a "Force download" in podcast menu will be great :)

    Until I implement a ‘real’ download manager, the next version will allow you to long press on an episode in the ‘Download manager screen’ and select ‘Force download’. This will allow to download THIS episode while bypassing the app network settings. This flag will reset when the app gets killed or the if the device is rebooted. If you don’t enable this in for the first episode in the download queue, then it won’t do anything until the 1st episode is downloaded.

    This will be implemented in the next version (v3.3)

    Plesse update your APP in androitpit.de. I want to switch from Google Play to Cyanogenmod and an alternative Store but i really need an actual Podcast Addict. Sure i will buy it again. Thank you for your outstandig work.

  18. allow podcasts to be automatically marked read after a certain percentage has been listened to

    There are a few podcasts I cut short as I don't listen to the ending portions of them.

    It would be nice to have a setting where they can be automatically marked read after you've listened to 90% or more, with the percentage required being variable.

    Or possibly if there's under a certain amount of time left in them. Thanks!

    I will add a new setting to allow skipping episodes outro.
    This will be a podcast custom setting.
    You will have to select the number of seconds to skip at the end of the podcast. Once this threshold is reached the app will consider that the episode has been fully listened to so depending on your settings it will be marked as read, deleted, removes from the playlist and the resume position will be reset.

    This will be release in v3.4

  19. Add Repeat Mode

    Provide an option play podcasts in a “repeat” mode where the podcast just loops so that when it ends the same podcast starts over again.

  20. add headset button control

    It would be really useful to configure headset buttons, for example to skip forward by double clicking and skip back by triple clicking the headset button.
