  3. Fix an issue with the playback slider & forward button

    When I play a podcast and unplug headphones, move the slider or use the forward and reverse buttons the podcast goes back to zero/the beginning. This makes the app completely unusable for me. My device is a Motorola DROID X2 running Android 2.3.5 and I just installed and ran your most recent update (Nov. 18, 2013).

    In case of an issue, please open a ticket using the Contact Support button on this website. Please specify the version of the app rather than the day of the update. Version number is displayed at the bottom of the settings page

  4. Make it easier to view my subscribed podcasts, and see past episodes.

    Title is description. It was easier in the previous setup.

  5. Bring back the settings

    Since the update I can't find the app's settings. I want to change the notification settings for the auto downloads, but it's impossible now.

    As explained in red, in the changelog that opes automatically after every update, the navigation has changed. Press on the app icon in the actionbar or swipe from the left side of the screen to the right side to open the navigation menu

  6. add feature to change how we want the time counter to behave

    When playing an episode, there are two time counters: the one on the left which tells you how much the episodes has advanced (from 0:00) and the one on the right which tells how long each episode lasts.
    However, you can´t tell how much is left because the second clock doesn´t change. It would be great if the second clock could move backwards as the episode progresses (down to 0:00)
    I don´t want to be substracting times to figure out how much is left.

    In the new widget 4x1, the progress bar is strangely large...
    Moreover, the icon in this widget is not correctly displayed.

    I’m not aware of any progressbar or thumbnail display issue

  8. Small screen widget

    The Omate TrueSmart has a 240*240 screen. Can you please make a widget that will fit? That also goes for the app itself, of course.

  11. Full state backup/restore

    As others partially suggest, it would be great to have a mean to synchronize/share (across multiple device) the reading state of episodes or to backup/restore it when reinstalling/replacing the device (and optionally making the app be aware of episodes previously downloaded and still present on the SD card folder).

    This suggestions contains 2 different things:
    - a way to backup/restore the app data when switching device or flashin a new ROM (https://podcastaddict.uservoice.com/forums/211997-general/suggestions/4200716-backup-episodes-read-to-preserved-this-info-in-the)
    This feature is onthis way and will be available in the upcoming v2.0
    - a way to synchronize in realtime the app data between 2 devices. Please go vote for https://podcastaddict.uservoice.com/forums/211997-general/suggestions/4115735-cross-device-synchronization
    This feature will take some time to be implemented so you will need to be patient ;)

  12. Allow users to decide if they want Podcast Addict episodes to be visible in the Android music player.

    I personally don´t want to spoil my Podcast listening by having my podcasts in the android music player.
    I want my episodes in the Podcast Manager (Podcast Addict) only.

    That's already the case. A '.nomedia' file is added in the download folder by podcast addict. This is the only way we can tell Android not to display the files in the library, but it doesn't always work..

  13. reduce dely between pushing play button and starting playback

    There is often a long delay after I hit play. I usually end up hitting the button multiple times to get it to start.

    Please open a ticket using the Contact support button of the website in case of an issue with the app.
    Regarding your problem it looks like you are streaming content. Because if that playback can only start once the buffering is done which can take some time depending on your connection speed. When playing a downloaded file, playback will start immediately.

  14. please fix the "stop podcast after disconnect"

    It used to be that I could shit my car off and tje podcast connected via bluetooth would stop. a few months ago something was chamged and now the podcast continues. I very often have my phobe volume muted so I could go on for quite a while with my podxast playing and I dont realize it. then I have to try to remember where I was at in the list of "read" episodes. not sure if this is already like it but mayne sort the read episodes in the order they were completed so if I listen to a…

  15. use the "share" option to give more information

    I like to email podcasts to people using the share option, but just the podcast title, episode title, and the link to the raw mp3 file doesn't really explain to people what they are getting... it would be nice to be able to send the episode description, the www page for the podcast if there is onem as well as the xml for the podcast feed in case they want to subscribe themselves!

    Because some podcast feeds have hundreds of episodes so it doesn’t make any sense to download all of them at the first update. You can long press on the podcast and select ‘Download unread’ if you want to download every unread episodes

  17. I'm having big problems with the position of podcasts since getting it on jelly bean. The

    I'm having big problems with the location in the podcast being retained, on jelly bean. If I stop a podcast and do something else, the place is regularly lost when I reopen it. I also have problems with the podcast stopping mid play when I open other apps. This may be a memory issue that cannot be controlled, but can you not get it to save the podcast location more frequently - as it's constantly losing my place even when I close the app manually.

    Please use the Contact Support button to open a ticket on th site. Current section is dedicated to suggestions of improvment and new features.
    Which device do you have ? Every device using a MT65xx CPU (Wiko, Alcatel, Acer, and a lot of other brands) have this position issue. There’s a know bug with the CPU drivers that make it impossible to resume the position
    Regarding the other issue, Android give priority to the app in foregrounf, so if you have limited memory and are on another app screen it might kill any background app to free some resources

    You can already do that. Just press the + button in the main screen toolbar to add a new podcast and select ‘Virtual podcasts’. It allows you to select a folder. Every files you store in this folder will be like an episode and you will be able to play it from the app.

  19. bug with widgets and nova launcher

    tried a few podcast managers and decided to stick with podcast addict, but recently the player widget stopped working. now I have to resume play the less-convenient way by opening the app, sort by downloaded episodes or playlists, select the right one, then hit play. before the widgets crashed I just had to hit play. It appears the problem is only with nova launcher, as it works fine when I switch back to the stock launcher.

    Regarding the issue as you mentionned the widget works on the default launcher (as well as a couple of 3rd party launchers like aviate)
    I will try this launcher to see what’s going on..

    Edit: I just tested with the future version of the app and it works fine on my N4. FYI I refactor all the widget code in the future version so maybe I fixed some issue without knowing about them ;)

  20. create a desktop app to sync with

    Add desktop software where I can listen to podcasts when I'm not mobile, and sync the listened episodes from either PC or mobile phone.
