  1. add video episode playlist

    In order to see my video episodes, Ihave to go to the podcast episode and play an episode. I repeat this process to see the next one. I spend a lot of time doing this. I need a video playlist (it seems podcast addict doesn't have it).

  2. Allow per podcast options

    Enable the user to specify settings for each podcast that override the global settings like
    - use external player
    - playback speed
    - auto download
    - ...

  3. Add Favicon images for rss news feeds

    Rather than display the standard orange rss icon it would be good if the favicon of the site could be used instead?

  5. Open links in an episode description in an external browser

    The behaviour changed recently and now links open inside the app, which is horrible for navigation. Or is my system fucked up?

  6. Replace "Filter" menu by a customizable navigation bar

    Currently, it exists the Filter menu, with several options (Lastest episodes, downloaded episode, ...).
    The problem is we must select this menu and after the desired option, and option lines are quite small and its not easy to access them during driving for exemple.
    So, my idea is to add a navigation bar instead of the "filter" menu, with direct access to all or some options represented by icons (if its not possible to add all options, it would be great that the user could choose options he wants in this navigation bar).

  7. a feature to let the user choose to activate the timer by default

    It would be useful for people who listen to their podcasts at night and always fall asleep during the listening (excuse my english...)

  8. allow users to choose what sorting they want in the playlist

    I always listen to my podcast episodes by duration so every time open my playlist, Ihave to go to setting and sort it by duration. It would be nice if you could set the playlist they way you always or usually listen to it. It seems the default sorting is by date.

  9. add feature to shut off screen when video podcasts are playing.

    I want to be able to carry my android device in my pocket and listen to any video podcast with the screen locked. This is suitable when I can't keep my eyes on the screen (when driving for example) this way I save battery and I avoid having the cellphone active (video might be stopped accidentally)

    v2.3 will be available in the next hours

    They is a new setting to allow video playback to go on when the screen is turned off.
    It won’t be the default behaviour but you’re will be able to change it in Settings/Player/Screen Off

  10. Add search button inside subscribed podcast

    For example if I'm subscribed to the Radiolab podcast and i would like to find a specific podcast within the Radiolab directory but there is no search button, u have to find it by scrolling down alot

  12. A feature to only keep a specified number of most recent episodes per podcasts

    I use too much memory now. If I could manually keep important but delete everything else older than say, the most recent 3 episodes. That would be awesome!

    This feature has been delivered in the latest version of Podcast Addict (v1.23)
    You can define the number of episodes to keep in Settings/Automatic Cleanup.
    You can also override this global settings for each Podcast. Long press on the podcast (main screen) and select ‘Custom Settings’ from the menu

  13. Add support for Google Chromecast

    It would be awesome if Podcast Addict had support for playing content through Google's new Chromecast device. Google Cast API can be found at the link below:

  14. customize read/unread episodes

    The hide read/unread botton is practically the same. There's no way of telling which one it is. I want to make sure which one I have ( I keep pressing it to be sure my hide read episodes is active)

  15. Add Play/Pause/Skip ahead/back/Next to the notifications area

    Right now I can only pause playback from the Notifications field. I would love to be able to also resume playback from it. And during playback, be quickly able to skip ahead without having to open the app.

    This feature has been delivered in version 2.2
    The player notification can be expanded to display more controls as well as a button to close the player

    Make sure you didn’t enabled ‘Settings/Player/Hide notification on Pause’ to be able to use this notification even when the player is paused

  16. A feature to automatically enque new episodes to the playlist, even if not downloaded (stream only)

    I stream all podcasts instead of downloading to save space. I'd like to be able to have the option for each podcast title to automatically enque new episodes to the playlist as they are released.

  17. Backup episodes read to preserved this info in the application needs to be reinstalled

    Episodes read are lost if application needs to be re-installed. This information should be backed up with other application user preferences. Backing up only subscriptions is inadequate for recovery.

    This feature has been delivered in v2.0.×. It allows you to backup everything (settings, subscriptions, episode flags, episode progress, playlist, …) except downloaded media files like episodes and thumbnails. The restore feature will allow you to trigger a full re-download of the episodes that were already downloaded on your previous device unless you copied them manually.

  18. Logo refresh

    For me addiction to podcast is not related to syringe. Syringe together with word "addiction" is totally negative symbol for me and is related with huge problems for some people. I really appreciate if you just consider about possibility to change the logo.

    Nobody wants to sit on the needle. It's not fun.
    Podcast addiction is fun.

    Proposer une liste de catégories: humour, insolite, zap, politique, sport. En cliquant sur l'une des catégories, cela afficherait des podcast correspondants. Un grand merci à l'auteur de nous permettre de faire évoluer son application.

  20. Default menu screen

    I would like a menu option that allows you to set a default filter when opening the app. perhaps the playlist filter set to newest first.

    This feature is available in the latest version of the App on the Play Store.
    On Android 2.x you can add a shortcut to your homescreen that can open the app on the Playlist or the Player.
    On Android 3.x and 4.x you will be able to do the same using the new Shortcut Widgets
