  1. Provide a way to prevent duplicate episodes

    I subscribe to several NPR podcasts (NPR News, NPR Tech, etc.). Sometimes an episode is included in one podcast, and the exact same episode is also included in another podcast. As a result, I oftentimes have two or three copies of the same episode, all from different NPR podcasts.

    Would be great if the app could check an episode's title against the downloaded episodes list, and not download the episode if the title matches one already in the list.

    I realize that matching on the title of the episode runs the risk that there might be two different episodes that…

  2. Make it export playlist

    I would like to be able to export my playlist to a simple text file. Then I could reorder it quickly on a PC, then import it back in to the app. I currently have hundreds of different podcast episodes in my playlist, and manually mixing and ordering them is time-consuming.

  3. favorite podcasts

    Was wondering how I can stack lets say 4 podcasts as my favorite, so they can be on top of all the 20 podcasts that I have. This would make it a lot easier for me and other users!

  4. Sleep timer always reset by movement

    Reseting the timer by shaking should always be possible and not only in the small time between vibrating and turning off.
    E.g. Laying in the bed and noticing, that I am awake for at least another timer period. Then I just take the phone and shake.
    Expected behavior: Timer is reset
    Actual behavior: Timer just continuous and ignores my shaking.

    This request extends the feature request 10211379 in the way that movement should always reset and not only after the warning.

  6. Bulk "reset progress"

    I relisten to certain podcasts, usually frI'm their first episode. I'd really like to be able to reset the progress on an entire podcast series instead of having to do it for each individual episode.

  7. Show the actual play time in the play list instead of just the sum of episode durations. I listen to podcasts usually at higher than 1.0 spe

    I usually listen to podcasts at higher than 1.0x speed. Many podcasts I listen to at 1.5x, a few at 2.0x and a few others at 2.5x. It world be good to calculate the actual playtime for display in the playlist summary instead of simply the sim of individual episode durations. Or maybe you can display the actual playtime in parentheses in addition to what is displayed right now.

  8. Share Favorites with friends

    My friends often ask me for episode recommendations. I'd love to just send them my favorites list! It would be great to have a Share option under the Favorites menu that sends a text list of my favorites to other apps. Including links and thumbnails would be even better.

  9. Make a kodi addon

    I use kodi a lot. I notice that other then the apple iTunes podcast addon (which is rubbish) thier is no podcast addon available for it.

    I believe podcast addict would be amazing to have.

  10. Keep podcast episodes on 'Read' and 'Favorite' lists after podcast is deleted.

    Deleting the podcast channel also removes read and favorited episodes from that podcast. It would be great if this wasn't so.

  11. Add album name and/or performer as a sort option.

    I am starting to use PA for listening to mp3s stored on my phone. Much of the content is stored folders named for the performer. It would be great to be enter the performer folder as the root to import the content and the be able to sort by album.

  12. Search for later

    I quite often hear mention of other interesting related podcasts while I'm listening to a podcast. It would be nice if I could quickly search for the mentioned podcast and add it to a list that I can look into later. Not subscribe to it, just a link to it later and maybe add a note to it for my own reference. Thanks

  14. Playlist via Bluetooth

    When listening in the car via Bluetooth, the standard music app shows the playlist which I can scroll and navigate. But with Podcast Addict, only the currently playing podcast is shown. Is it possible to have the playlist shown?

  15. Provide rebroadcast filtering

    I have some podcasts on my feed that I really love, so I've listened to every episode, but that have a nasty habit of rebroadcasting old episodes. It would be great if there were a way to check for redundant episodes and filter them out.

    Some podcasts are kind enough to put the word "rebroadcast" in the title, so I can just filter out that keyword. But for others, it is not so simple.

    Some number their episodes, so if I could filter by partial keyword; I could, for example, filter out episodes 1-599 by excluding regex #[1-5]?[0-9]{1,2}\b or 100-199…

  17. Add smart playlists and smart sorting

    I am used to have multiple Playlists that fill themselves with certain criteria. For example: I drive about 30 Minutes to work so i have a playlist named "commute" that has podcast between 20 and 40 Minutes long. Than I have one for my exercise filled with only 90 Minutes + Podcasts. iTunes (my former program of choice) provided me with those options (plus a few more). As soon as I download the Podcast it will be sorted into one or more playlists because some of them are time related others are topic related.

    Sometimes I cannot finish a podcast…

  19. Better quick actions

    I like the idea of quick actions, but they are seriously underdeveloped. Right now all you can do is either make it always play the episode, or download it, which will also act as play for downloaded episodes. My proposal is to add following options:

    1. Enqueue/dequeue, depending whether the episode is already in the playlist.
    2. Mark read/unread.
    3. Delete episode, to complement the download action.

    Furthermore, the setting should be context aware, meaning you can set them separately for non- and downloaded episodes, as well as perhaps the currently playing one.
