  1. Interleave random songs from my music playlist with the podcasts

    My taste for the spoken word waxes and wanes with my taste for music. I programmed my old MP3 player to do this with great success: insert a random music file between each podcast. This only makes sense if you have a library of 100-1000 songs on your phone.

  2. Support a playlist of YouTube subscriptions

    Add a separate playlist of all the videos from our YouTube subscriptions. We could sort it like the default playlist. The videos could play one after another either going to the YouTube app each time or playing inside of Podcast Addict.

  3. Add option to copy episode description

    Currently there's an option to copy episode URL to clipboard. It would be useful to be able to copy the episode description to clipboard too.

  4. Big speed adjustment buttons in Car Layout

    I tend to listen to podcasts at 2.5 or faster BUT when a guest is a fast talker naturally or has a heavy accent, I need to slow the playback in order to catch what they are saying. When I'm driving, this can be a problem. The speed button is small, it brings up another window I have to look at, adjust and then OK out of. This is a dangerous interaction because I have to take my eyes off the road. Instead, on the Car Layout there should be two large speed adjustment buttons (a plus and a minus,…

  5. automatic download chronological order

    Right now, whenever there is a new episode the automatic update downloads that cast and adds it to the play list. Even if you're on episode ten and the new episode is 200. Further, it does not download the next unread episode not already on your device. If I have ten episodes at a time on my device and I've just finished episode one, as it deletes that episode it should download episode 11 automatically (or que it up to the download queue for once I'm back in WiFi).

  7. Add category download settings

    I would love to be able to set download behavior for different categories so that refreshing one category might result in automatic downloads, while refreshing another would simply refresh

  8. Silence background

    Skip silences feature is amazing!

    However, it's useless when a podcast has a fuzzy background noise.

    Not only for skip silences feature to work but sometimes the background noise is too annoying.

  9. Enable the always on player banner on the playlist screen

    The player banner is a great addition to podcast addict and allows quick access to the current/last played episode yet it is missing from the bottom of the playlist screen.
    Enabling the player banner on the playlist screen would improve the user experiene by keeping the interface consistent.

  12. select car layout player from the main PA menu

    I have several friends who use PA that were unaware of the Car Layout available from the player screen menu. How about adding a car layout player selection in the main PA menu?

    Just a heads up regarding the latest version of the app. It doesn’t provide cross device syncing yet, but it allows you to sign in to your Google Drive account and have all your data automatically backed up to make sure they are safe at all time. It also makes restoring the data on a new device really easy.
    You can go into Settings/Backup to enable this and sign-in

  16. Create a flag to join playlist of audio and video podcast

    There are some music podcast that are in video mode but does not show any video. If there is a flag to join the playlist of video and audio podcast it would make life easier.

  17. Enable option to show time remaining in currently playing and partially played podcasts.

    It would be helpful to reevaluate exactly how much time is remaining in a podcast, maybe where it currently displays the total time of the episode, to the right of the progress bar. Also perhaps in the expanded notification area. Thanks.

  18. More swipe actions on episodes

    Add more swipe actions when left swiping on episodes.

    For example in the Downloaded Episode list: left swipe would reveal the play / add to playlist / mark read / delete icon.

    Same idea of the Recent episodes and Playlist lists: add there the most commonly used actions (3 or 4 max)

    This would:
    - give quicker access to the most convenient features
    - fix the problem of people who find the left swipe de queue option too radical: it would only be one of the selectable actions there
    - it would also make possible to optionally deactivate the episode…

  19. Using cloud folder for virtual podcasts

    Hi,
    I love podcast addict, but there's some audio files I want to listen like a podcast. Good for me, there's an option named "Virtual podcast" where I can use any file from a local folder like a podcast.
    But, it would be great if I can use a folder from the cloud (like Dropbox or Google Drive...) to store my files at first.

  20. Automatically mark as read

    Most podcatchers AUTOMATICALLY mark an episode as read immediately upon opening or swiping to the next one (while reading). The list should visually reflect the difference read/unread (the current green tick mark works just fine). The menu should also include an option to "show read". Please consider integrating this feature! Thanks!
