  1. Add a "Queued for download" icon

    Right now there is an animated icon both for downloads in progress and for episodes that are waiting to be downloaded.
    It would be nice to add an icon (perhaps a static arrow with a little clock) to tell the episodes that are waiting from the one(s) currently downloading.

  2. add parental/ admin controls

    I would like to be able to limit the podcasts my Child can select and listen to on their tablets. If you can add simple password entry screen which limits access to the podcast selection screens that would be great. (I want them to be able to listen to specific podcasts for their education on these devices, and that's it.)

  3. Download an unread episode at random

    It would be convenient to have an option in the menu for any given podcast to download an unread episode at random.

    Some podcasts I listen to have hundreds of episodes and I don't really care what order I listen to them in; this would help get rid of the mental anguish of picking one out.

  5. Options to add music to playlist

    I like interspersing occasional songs between my podcasts, and since no longer using iPod/ iTunes have not found a way to do this in a podcast app.

  6. Will there ever be other platforms? Desktop or iOS mainly

    I love this, it's the best podcast app out there by a longshot. Unfortunately, I no longer have an android device. What are your thoughts on doing a desktop app or an iOS, possibly jailbroken, app?

  8. Restore old automatic rewind functionality after notifcation

    Automatic rewind after notification should be restored. If "pause upon audio notification" and "automatic rewind" are set, one should expect that to work on any notification. The new "functionality" negatively impacts mobile users of audio books and podcasts, it breaks context of content when responding/reacting to Waze traffic alerts and other general notifications. The settings also do not accurately reflect the current functionality.

    I would like to force a podcast episode to stream over 3G even if the global setting is WiFi only.

  10. Option to always show notification

    This would basically be a quick way to launch the app from the notification area (where PA normally appears anyway, when it's running) - but would also allow you to start (i.e., resume) playing, without needing to launch the full UI (in addition to being able to launch the full UI, if you want).

    Perhaps mark skipped? Want some alternative to have a clearer history of what was listened too and what I just wanted out of the author download que for past episodes.

  13. Do autoupdate only when "sync" is on

    Do autoupdate and autodownload only when phone system setting "sync" (aka "backround data" or "data sync" - not "mobile data") is on.

    By default I have sync turned off - it prevents battery drains from some apps that try do do some background syncing even when there is no data connection and it saves bandwidth if I have to use a poor data connection for some simple explicit task (e.g. find a public transport). (I use profiles for easy tunring data and sync on and off - feature of Cyanogenmod, but there are apps in the market with a similar…

  16. MIX IT UP!

    It would be interesting to have a "SURPRISE ME" button that would RANDOMLY selected a new (streaming) podcast episode — from all of my subscriptions — just to inject some variety into my listening.

    Otherwise, even adding the option to RANDOMLY PLAY DOWNLOADS would be nice.

  17. have a setting to prevent streaming completely

    I never want to play something that isn't downloaded. Data charges are just too expensive. However I keep getting messages that tell me I'm steaming and I should download to stop steaming. Why are these episodes in my playlist? How can I prevent streaming entirely?

  18. Move playlist rearrange handles to the right so we don't grab the slide out menu

    Rearranging my playlist is a bit of a pain because it's so difficult to keep from grabbing the slide out menu. Perhaps flipping the handle to the right side would solve this.

  20. multiple automatic refresh times

    I use the automatic, timed refresh to have my podcasts ready in the morning, but it would be nice to have a 2nd automatic time refresh so that my podcasts are ready to go for the commute home. Periodic refresh (e.g. 8 or 12 hours) doesn't work as one of my favorite podcasts (news) is updated every hour, and I need it around 7am and 5pm.
