  1. add a setting to enable/disable the recursing subfolders for virtual podcasts

    I, like many other Android users, I imagine, save audio files from the web via Chrome for Android to the default Downloads folder on the storage section of my device. I also set up a virtual podcast subscription which points to that Downloads folder so I can easily play back the files I saved there.

    After a while, I realized that I had many different files in that Downloads folder, so I moved them into subfolders, for example:

    \Downloads
    - 43Folders
    - Chrome Show OLD
    - GTD

    and I created a separate virtual podcast for each of those subfolders.

  2. option to set maximum amt. Of storage for downloaded podcasts

    Allow the user to specify how much storage to use for downloaded podcasts. When automatically downloading new podcasts and the storage is exceeded, podcasts would be removed according to the autoclean settings.

    The end goal is to allow as many podcasts to be stored as storage will allow, without exhausting all storage, and without having to choose arbitrary limits on age or number of episodes.

  3. ISSUE: When playing video files via bluetooth audio in the

    ISSUE: When playing video files via bluetooth audio in the car, the video and audio are not synced. This is because there is an audio delay when playing via bluetooth.

    Can you add a feature to un-sync the video/audio? ie. to play the audio maybe around 1 - 1.2 seconds before the video is played? that way we can manually sync the audio and video as its being played back.

  5. Show favorite episodes even if "hide read episodes" is on

    I use "hide read episodes" so I can easily see all unplayed podcasts. But I also want to see my favorite episodes, and of course they have already been seen. Currently, I have to turn off the "hide read episodes", which floods my screen with old episodes, and then I need to shuffle to find my favorite ones. Doesn't make much sense.

    It would be great if the favorites were also showed with the unplayed episodes.

    I want to be able to manage my podcast subcriptions online with support to show listened too episodes. Support for multiple devices would be a huge bonus.

  9. Implement a video tutorial

    Forgive me if this is already been mentioned before, but I think a VIDEO TUTORIAL would be an excellent addition. Coming from someone who was/is a complete newbie and didn't know a thing about OPML, RSS feeds, etc. - a video tutorial could have alleviated a lot of trial and error setting up the app and getting it customized to my own specifications. Not to mention filling up all of my memory with useless podcasts and the excessive data usage incurred.   10. Add an option to enable automatic rewind only after a minute

    hello,
    i love your app. I love the automatic rewind option. But because i think it would be a good idea to add an option to automatic rewind only after a select number of second/minutes.

  11. add a volume function within the app that controls the volume that the podcast plays independent of the volume of the rest of the device.

    I like to listen to music while learning a new language using another application called duolingo. The language learning app has a teacher that speaks random sentences so it would be nice to turn down the volume of the podcast while maintaining the volume of my other app

  12. add automatic rewind when disconecting headset

    When your setting is not not pause on headset disconnection you lose audio for about 2 seconds hence you miss a whole sentence like this.
    So my suggestion is to be able to set the episode to automatic rewind for example 3 seconds when unplugging headset or auxiliary input jack.
    I usually listen to my pocast in my car stereo but when I arrive at work, I continue listening straighrt from my smartphone (from the parking lot to my office). However when unplugging it from the car stereo, I lose 2 seconds when when the episode changes from the aixiliary…

  13. Using cloud.feedly.com as a back-end for podcast RSS feeds

    I was using google listen previously, refreshing through google reader (all podcast tagged with "Listen Subscription").

    I suggest to have a new alternative for Podcast Addict using feedly as a back-end to synchronize RSS feeds.

  14. add a second rewind button

    In the player and widget add a second fast forward and rewind for longer jumps so when I realise I lost track of what is going on for the last five minutes I'd be able to get there faster.

  15. Implement audio transmission to receiver devices (Airplay-like)

    Allow PodcastAddict to connect to audio servers.
    Even if AirPlay(R) isn't an option (XBMC does it by the way),
    there are alternatives, e.g. I run a shairport4w service on my windows machine and DLNA compatibility is everywhere nowadays

  16. Toggle the display of undownloaded episodes per podcast, exactly like the toggle for 'read' episodes

    I woyld lime to be able to sort and filter a podcasts episodes. The ability to display only new/downloaded episodes per podcast would be very handy. Currently, if a podcast has a lot of episodes, i wont download them all, but they clutter the listing and i have to look for episodes with the downloaded icon to play offline. The workaround i am using to get a similar effect, is to mark them all as read, and then go through and fir each episode i want, download and mark it unread.

  17. wordpress pagination

    Wordpress paginates its feeds, offering by default ten at a time.
    You can see older episodes by adding to the feed URL a parameter, /?paged=2, /?paged=3, /?paged=4...
    It would be really neat if podcast addict checked subsequent pages on wordpress to see if there are other episodes.
    In theory I could do it myself with a copy of the same podcast, but that'd be severely un-tidy :)
    Wordpress is very widespread, so this is worth your time. And there may be other services that have the same or very similar behaviour.

  19. Bandwidth limit

    A control to limit bandwidth utilization (say to 50% of available bandwidth or a specific mb/s limit, say 1 megabit per second) so the phone can perform other network tasks without too much slowdown (or consuming bandwidth over wifi.)
