  1. Make it possible to customize the settings immediately after I subscribe to it

    With over 200 podcasts subscribed out carb be a major pain to track down and customize the latest one. It would be far simpler if Podcast would offer to let me do it as soon as I subscribed to it.

  2. radio text / metadata

    Salut Xavier,

    I would like to have an option to swappodcast podcast name (top bold line) with episode title (bottom lthin line) or radio name with metadata.

  5. Volume Boost Function

    Is there a way to have the volume boost function outside of the menu panel? The volume is great until i start driving and i need to find and turn on the boost function. It would be much easier to have it on the top of the main screen to just turn on and off at will instead of going through the whole menu each time.

    This is my favorite podcast app. Thanks for making it!

  6. Slide out menu shortcut to the equalizer

    Shortcut to the equalizer from the slide out menu. I just found the equalizer buried in the player settings. Would be nice to jump to it quickly. Some podcasts are real heavy on the bass.

  7. Créer un tableau récapitulatif de chaque podcast avec les surcharges

    Créer une page sous forme de tableau résumant le comportement de chaque podcast en tenant compte des surcharges (suppression automatique, durée de rétention, effacement auto ..)
    Ça permettrait de comprendre pourquoi certains podcasts ne se téléchargent pas automatiquement.

  11. Add support for digest authentication for authenticated feeds.

    It seems only basic authentication is supported.

    I run a private podcast server that requires digest authentication. When I try to use Podcast Addict to access my feed, I get this error in my Apache error log:

    [Wed Dec 06 15:32:42.038234 2017] [auth_digest:error] [pid 3333:tid 1111] [client 123.123.123.123:55555] AH01781: client used wrong authentication scheme `Basic': /feed/audio.xml

    I can't just turn on basic authentication. Aside from the security issues, I don't have the user passwords, only the digested values.

  13. Instead of totally Skipping intros or Outros, please give us the option to speed them up instead

    I understand that there is a setting to totally “skip intros or outros”, but I’m always afraid that I’m going to miss content in the podcast if I turn this on. Please create a setting that plays the first so many or last so many seconds of a podcast at a faster speed that we could specify. On a per podcast basis, if I could tell it to play the last 30 seconds or last 60 seconds at double speed, that would be a great feature that no competing podcast app has.

  14. Edit/merge playback stats

    This is pretty esoteric, but I would like the option to manually override/merge playback statistics. I have podcasts where I listen to their main stream, their patron stream, and download episodes from a web archive, which creates three different podcasts under the same title in my playback statistics.

    Would it be possible to merge by iD3 tag data rather than stream origin? Or forgive if this is an existing feature. Also I realize this is minor haha.

  15. Scheduler

    Hi
    I've read some of the relevant posts but I still think a seperate scheduler can prove to be really helpful...
    There are some podcasts I'd like to archive but as you have already mentioned in the warning, archive mode triggers the feature for all podcast feeds.. that means one needs to mark lots of feeds as read (quite time consumimg).
    I believe a scheduler feature that affects only the download manager is much more handy, since one can monitor the queue list more closely.
    I appreciate the efforts you put into improving this amazing podcast app.

  16. Be able to add individual episodes to a playlist

    I love using podcasts as an entry point into subject research. While literature reviews are a good way to find sources, podcasts are great for introducing the context of subjects and their major discourses.

    Unfortunately, the current separate playlist option includes every episode of a podcast as opposed to individual episodes.

    Since I imagine you'd have already added this option if it were simple, perhaps adding a way to easily send the important episode info and links to a Google sheet could be a functional stopgap.

  17. Bluesound support

    I use bluesound systems for my music at home. Bluesound powered by NAD is a high-end music solution. Currently it supports only Tunein but I would like to stay with podcast addict app.

  18. add longer refresh rates

    Can we get some longer intervals in the list of refresh rates? I'd like to be able to update and download on a specific day and time, get all my listening for the week (say sunday night) and then not connect again until a week later.

  19. Add an intent to swap between audio/video/custom playlist

    I have normal podcasts in my audio playlist and music in my custom playlist, and would like to be able to swap between these without having to enter the app so my tasker setup can start playing either podcasts or music. Another way that would satisfy me would be having an intent to start playing the latest downloaded episodes in a specific podcast, but that is probably more work.

  20. Option to make long topics of podcasts in the recent section be broken into two lines instead of cut off.

    So a long topic that now looks like "Hurricane Irma: The Aftermath and..." would be able to look like this instead:

    "Hurricane Irma: The Aftermath-
    and Caribbean Disaster Response"
