Ability to batch download 2 episodes
Currently you can download 1, 3, 5, 10 etc. Episodes in a podcast. I would like the ability to download 2 episodes as well

Make list mode available for radio stations.
Right now, grid mode is the only option and the station names get cut off. It's also harder to find stations in grid mode if you have a long list like I do.

Display Episode Length Divided By Playback Speed
When I have my playback speed set to something other than 1x it would be great if the episode length displayed in the playlist was changed to reflect this. EG If my playback speed is 2x, it would show the episode lengths as half the original length. This would save users mentally calculating how long an episode would take to listen to at their preferred listening speed themselves

Episodes marked read are not being deleted
When I use the option to mark older episodes as 'read' the downloaded episodes are not being automatically deleted as they should be if that setting is active for the podcast.
The only way around this is to manually delete each episode, which can take a long time to do.

stop playing at the end of chapter
You can currently use the sleep timer to stop playback at the end of the current episode, but for an audio book that is 10+ hours this is not very useful. Would it be possible to add an option to end at the start of the next chapter?

I see you have double click implemented. It would be very helpful to include one more headset option.
I would like to be able to fast forward & rewind. now I can only pick one of them from headset.

Automatic sleep timer
Add an option to automatically start the sleep timer in a specified time range. For example the sleep timer always runs between 10pm and 6am. This would allow users to not have to start it every night

Multiple custom playlists
I would love to create multiple playlists in which podcast subscriptions could be added or removed.
By weary of example, my BBC, NPR, and ABC news casts would go into one called say news, and the longer science podcasts under day science docs.
It is similar to this post but that is on 2013 and is incorrectly marked solved.

This new version finally adds support to multiple playlists.In order to use this new feature, you can go into the Playlists screen and select the new ‘Custom’ tab.
Then you can select the category of your choice and listen to it.
Those default categories are provided by the podcast owner in their RSS feeds, but you can press on the toolbar ‘Category’ button and add/delete/customize them.
That way you can create playlists like News, Commute, Workout, Audiobooks, SFW, …
Each playlist can have its own sorting mode.Please let me know what you think about this new feature

With a couple of more intents it would be possible to implement an alarm clock trivially in Tasker or Llama.

- Clear playlist. This could be invoked before a podcasts update, and the existing "add to playlist" feature against a podcast and "start playing the playlist" intent then used to play a particular podcast in response to an external event (such as time of day)

Auto Backup the subscriptions list (OPML) to Dropbox or Google Drive
I accidently format my phone and I lost all my subscriptions, because the (OPML) was on the phone also, so it would be grate to have auto backup feature integrated with google drive or dropbox to automate this task every month or every time I added new channel.

The future version will allow you to enable an automatic backup of the subscriptions (OPML file) every time the subscriptions are updated.
If you select a backup folder synced with Drive or Dropbox, you should get your files in the cloud automatically. -
allow to delete episode but keep it in playlist
sometimes we need to free space and need to remove downloaded episodes that we haven't listened to yet so we d like to keep them in the playlist. this is a pain in the ass to operate right now

Allow to organize live streams and radio stations
Having all radio stations in a single grid without a way to sort them other than by name can become cumbersome. It would be nice to have an optional list view, sorting (recent, custom) and categories, just like the podcasts.

Keep favorites/playback history regardless of subscription
There have been a few podcasts that I've really liked episodes of add have favorited (maybe bc of a guest or topic), but haven't wanted to continue listening for whatever reason and have unsubscribed. I've noticed when I do this that all episodes of that show are removed from my playback history and favorited episodes. One thing I love about Podcast Addict is it's organization and the ability to serve as a record of what I listened to, so I feel this would only enhance that. 40 votesThe latest version has an option to keep all the podcast data when unsubscribing. Only the subscription status will be changed which means that the podcast will stop receiving new episodes. The podcast will still be visible on the app main screen
That might not be exactly what you were asking but this means that the episodes will remain in the playback history
Please provide some feedback if this is not what you were asking for

set a specific time for the app to turn on so people can be woken up by a podcast in the morning
You can set some sort of timer/"alarm" so the app will turn itself on in the morning to wake you up, and it could also turn itself off if you listen to it while you fall sleep so it doesn't drain your battery life

Always keep a certain amount of episodes downloaded
If I have say three episodes of a podcast downloaded/queued and I listen to one, I'll have two once it's finished.
What I'd like to see is a feature where once a certain threshold was reached, it would download the next <amount> of episodes so that I'd always have a certain number ready to go.16 votesThis feature is handled by the new ‘Archive mode which is available in Settings/Download’. Add widget option to hide artwork/PA logo
I LOVE the 4x1 widget and use it as much as the player to control playback. The colors of the PA logo and of some podcast's artwork can clash visually with many wallpaper colors and themes. Can you please add an option in the Widget Settings to hide the logo/artwork and replace it with the widget background color set in the options instead?
